Sharing in Your Sorrow

Monday, September 8, 2014
A gal at church recently said good bye to both of her grandpa's this past summer.  She posted such sweet pictures of her dancing with each one of them at her wedding. I am sure she already misses them both.
This was the first one I made based on a card by Ann Schach.  I thought her's was beautiful, but it was a lot of scoring and a lot of tiny pearls.  Definitely one I would not mail but I was able to hand deliver this one to their mailbox at church.
I still loved the design and since I needed more sympathy cards to keep on hand (sadly these sell very fast) I thought I would tweek it.  I remembered a product I bought several years ago, at a local craft store and never got around to playing with it, called flower soft (I think).
So instead of using my blender pen to color in the entire tree and leave (top left) I just blended the trunk and ground a little bit and a tiny bit on the leaves, then glued on the flower soft.
Here they are side by side
