Assembly Line and a Cool Technique

Friday, November 21, 2014
When I am making treats for the Craft Sales I try to do things assembly line style to speed things along - as you can see with this big stash of York Peppermint Snowmen

Oh, and by the way, these cute snowmen are only $1.00!!  SWEET! TREAT!!
For his little nose I used the Bitty Ornament Punch (which is sadly retired, but I know that many of you who watch my blog have many of these items so I will still share retired items),
Each little ornament needs the little square area snipped off and that was just one more step so... to speed things along I cut a strip of card stock 5/8" wide and started punching and omitting that part.  As I got done with a full strip this is what it looked like
Two things came to mind - they looked like tiny martini glasses BUT since I am NOT into THAT I turned them around and thought they would make a cute "ray" for a sunshine.  This is my practice piece
Now to create a card with a cute sunshine on it.  First thing was to sponge some clouds using Soft Sky Ink and a scalloped edge.  On this one I actually used the Scallop Edge Tag Punch.
I used a Hostess Stamp Set called HELLO LOVE and the sweet smile on the sunshine is from THINK HAPPY
What to put on the inside?  This is what is great about this stamp set - "A Little Birdie Told Me..." could be ANYTHING!  Since we are enjoying very wintery weather right now I thought I could say "...I will be back soon - think Spring!", but I left it empty so I could use it when the right occasion came up.  I think these 2 stamp sets coordinate quite nicely together.
Now I have a treat for YOU!!  Leave a comment on this post and your name will go into a drawing to win this stamp set FREE!
Here are the supplies you will want to create this card for yourself
Thanks for stopping by!
