Guest Stamper Dale W

Monday, November 17, 2014
Yes, you saw this right - my hubby, Dale, is my guest stamper for today.
Many of you may know that Dale is in the soap, lotion and candle business - all natural ingredients, and the candles are all soy so they burn clean.  He even sells the little wax melts for those who do not like to have a candle lit.  And, boy, do they smell good!!!  You can check him out by clicking HERE

Last week he made his first pillar style candle in two different sizes.  When he showed me his Very Vanilla (yes, he names them after Stampin' Up! colors!!) candle I said "oh, I want to stamp on that! and I have the perfect stamp set in mind - it has pine boughs and pine cones - it would look really cool".  I no more than walked downstairs to check my email and lo and behold France Martin stamped that same image from ORNAMENTAL PINE on a pillar candle on her blog post that day exactly what I was hoping to do.  I guess great minds think alike!
We did this technique at our down line Christmas party last year using the Snow Much Fun Stamp Set.

Dale asked me to show him how to do it so I did the first bough with a couple pine cones and he stamped the rest (onto tissue paper) then I showed him how to attach it to the candle and heat it with the Heat Tool.  He then stamped the smaller pillar candle. He used the 1" Sheer Linen Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler for the tall candle and the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding on the smaller candle.  He plans to sell them at the craft sale coming up on Saturday. Actually he plans to see what the interest is for these so will probably take orders. These would be perfect for a School Teacher gift.  ($10 for the tall one, $7 for the smaller one or buy them both for $15) So if you live in our area please come to see us at the Hudsonville High School Craft Sale from 9am to 3pm.  We are located in the cafeteria!  His booth is right next to mine and Sue's!!  SWEET!!
Thanks for stopping by!
