Now on to todays post...
I am really not a "Happy Holiday" kind of gal, I would much rather say "MERRY CHRISTMAS"! The November My Paper Pumpkin Kit came with pretty snowflake cards and gift tags that say "Happy Holidays".  Here is the card

And this is what it looks like on the inside
These are the gift tags.  You actually get 10 gift tags.  I made up the card and the tags exactly as they suggested.
So to change things up I started to play.  I cut off the Soft Sky snowflakes and attached them like this.  Using the scattered stars image in the corner
On this one I just put it together by cutting off the Soft Sky snowflakes again.  A little plain
I thought it needed some sponging and a little "bling".  The bling is actually the tiny circles that punch out of the silver foil paper when you peel off the sticky circles for your gift cards.  The coordinating colors for the card are Lost Lagoon and Whisper White.
I couldn't do much about the words "Happy Holidays" on the tags and you get a ton of the letters when you punch them out so I just put 5 tags in each cello bag and made a tag topper with some of the soft sky card stock left over from when I cut my snowflakes off and added the punched out "Happy Holidays" greeting on the front with some of the cute washi tape that comes in the kit.
Now I've got a PILE of letters sitting on my work play table.  I sent out on FB "if I gave you the words 'HAPPY HOLIDAYS' how many different words could you make from those letters."  My friend Rachel is always good for a challenge and she came up with 61 different words.  Another commenter, Stephane,  added 12 more words to that list but the word that stuck out to me was the word HOLY.  I got to work using the rest of my card supplies from the November Paper Pumpkin Kit and this is what I came up with.  the next 2 cards I used some Designer Paper from the ALL IS CALM PACK of 12x12 paper
There is plenty of spaces lift on the silver foil where you punch out the snowflakes for the gift tags so I punched out some little stars.  The kits also includes  a sheet of the Rhinestones for the center of my "O's"
For this card I used some silver foil paper that I had on hand and embossed it with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and my Big Shot.
On this one I use 1/2 of the white snowflake and my stamp set called WHITE CHRISTMAS
There really is so much more you can do with this kit.  I have a ton of the Silver and White twine left over along with many letters, rhinestones, a couple card bases (with the snowflake cut off!).  You could use one of your tags as a stencil and stencil "Happy Holidays" on your card front.  You could decorate a gift bag, or make a gift bag topper.  I do love the stamps that came in the kit and that it included MERRY CHRISTMAS as well as HAPPY HOLIDAYS.  The inside sentiment is super nice too "Wishing you all the hope, wonder and joy that the season can bring."  It's got a cute To/From stamp and the scattered snowflakes and then the one I used for the falling snow on this last card.  Seriously - you need to invest in the My Paper Pumpkin Kit!  It's like getting a present every single month!  and you never know what will come each month.  It might be cards or a project, but the fun is in the suspense.  Do I like some more than others? oh, of course I do, but that is still the fun of it all, and seeing what others will come up with for their kit.  You can purchase My Paper Pumpkin monthly, or in a prepaid subscription 3 months, 6 months 12 months.  Check out the flyer HERE, then hop on over to mypaperpumpkin.com to get started. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE designate me as your demonstrator when subscribing - I really appreciate it.
Thanks for stopping by!
