Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Friday, May 1, 2015
This card was so much fun to make.  I cased it from a store bought card that I sent to my mom for her birthday in 1991!!  Bless her heart she saved all the cards that we kids gave her and recently (in the last year or so) it was time for her to clear things out so we "inherited" all the cards back.  Some got pitched and some got saved, like this one...
So here is my version... I used a punch art design from a previous Punch Art Class and then I brightened up his eyes from the original bear by adding blue. The splatter is from a retired set called EXTREME ELEMENTS.
Once again I put my computer to work to print out the words for the outside and the inside of the card.  I used my Chocolate Chip Wheel (conveniently made into a clear stamp) for my chocolate chip cookie.  Then just punched it out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and took a "bite" out using the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch.
I'm sure you all agree with me that no matter how old we get the best tasting cookies are the ones that your mom made for you because they held so much love in every bite.  Of course now I am hungry for chocolate chip cookies!!
I hope you enjoyed this week of Mother's Day Cards.  Head on over to the Used To Be New Consignment Shop to purchase any of the cards that I make or contact me at christiwaite@gmail.com to place your order.  Each card costs only $2.00 plus shipping.
