Sentimental Sunday

One of the fun things I have in my stamping/craft room is this adorable Owl that has a great story behind it.
I wanted to feature each of my "girls" as an element on the walls of my craft room.  The very first element that went on the wall was the cute butterflies from way-back-when when Stampin' Up! sold Wall Decor.  I bought a couple sets of the butterflies knowing that I would want them some day.  My daughter in law, Melissa, loves butterflies so these are up in honor of her.  I popped on some colorful butterflies using the Butterfly Framelits.
My Daughter, Julie, loves owls so I knew I wanted to put up an owl somewhere, and my daughter in law, Jessica loves music so I needed to incorporate some musical notes as well.  This is what we came up with...
The owl was designed from the sweater that I bought Gracie for Christmas last year.  This is where the "sentimental" part comes in... Guess who painted the owl on my wall?
You got it! My 88 year old father did all the work.  I wasn't terribly happy about him standing on a ladder the whole time, but he did GREAT!
 Checking out his work
 The finished product!
Now I just need to have him autograph it and it will be complete.
So all my girls have a place on my wall and so does my Daddy!!
Thanks for stopping by!
