Sentimental Sunday

For today's Sentimental Sunday post I wanted to share with you a fun day we had with the grandkids when we took them to the Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park in Alto MI

We were greeted with some very friendly goose.  Not sure the breed, but they basically came when you called them over.  Gracie was a bit apprehensive

A goofy looking bird! They had a ton of exotic birds there.
And we can't forget to get a picture with a Henry statue!

A Darling little fox!

and we got to pet the Wallaby, boy do they have soft fur!

The Aviary to feed the birds is so much bigger and nicer than at John Ball Zoo, sorry John Ball

Loved the cute goats - they loved all the attention

Gracie found a cute giraffe statue area before she found the real giraffes.
Tyler loves turtles and this one was huge!

Here are Gracie's Giraffe's! She was in 7th Heaven to be able to walk and talk with them.  She even reached in to pet the female.  This ginormously tall one was the male.

The camels got a little over-looked because they were right next to the giraffes.  Tyler made sure they didn't get left out.
The peacock was beautiful, just wish he would have fanned his feathers for us.

Another fun part was the prairie dogs.  Dale called this "The Circle of Life"
The price of the safari ride is included in the entrance fee.  Tons of antelope, wildebeest, and so much more. The guide was very informative, and we sat right behind her so we could ask questions. This park used to breed animals for zoos all over the world then decided to open their own park 4 years ago. So glad to have something like this so close to home.

Gracie couldn't wait to get back to the giraffes when Grandpa said she could buy some carrots for them to eat.

Here is a fun video of Gracie with her giraffe

Thanks for stopping by!
