Sentimental Sunday

Sunday, October 11, 2015
Last Saturday I took Gracie and her friend Emma to a Pumpkin Fest with some of my Facebook friends.  Despite some cold and very wet weather, it was a very fun time. Funny thing is that when I picked up the girls they ended up having the same winter coat.  They totally thought I had sisters with me, and Emma is so sweet I would be proud to have her as my grand daughter!!
They did a great job decorating the yard with several photo ops
 Games included: Bobbing for Apples
And I'm sure we would have stuck around for the other games if the weather was nicer.  But they painted TWISTER circles on the lawn and 2 large homemade dice to decide where to land, and had a kiddy pool filled with straw and the kids got to dig for pennies.
After a yummy potluck the girls enjoyed a pony ride.
The coolest part of the evening is that they had a bake sale, pumpkin sale, pre-ordered giant specialty caramel apples and a silent auction all to raise funds for a needy family.  We felt so blessed to a part of this opportunity.
Hope you all have a blessed Sunday!
