Sentimental Sunday

Each year we purchase a Christmas ornament for the grandkids. These ornaments go onto our Christmas Tree with the understanding that when they get a home of their own they will get all of them back.  I like to choose an ornament that reflects their hobbies or something special that they love or what happened during the past year.  This is the ornament I chose for Tyler - Our Karate Kid - Black Belt!!
And this is the ornament I chose for Gracie - our sweet ballerina (and her favorite color is pink!)
And this is the ornament that I chose for Sawyer...
This was probably the hardest one because he is still a little guy and doesn't seem to have favorites yet, but the story behind this ornament is special because of all the health issues little Sawyer has had to go through these past several months.  During Sawyers most recent hospital stay to have his G-tube put into his precious little tummy for feeding, he was visited by 2 service dogs which he throughly enjoyed.  Combine this thought with the 50th Anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas and you get the reason behind my choice for his ornament.
The fun part is letting the kids put their own ornaments onto the tree and each year as they get older and taller the ornament placement gets higher and higher.  Maybe next year Sawyer will be able to join in on the fun!
Thanks for stopping by!
