Sentimental Sunday

Sunday, August 6, 2017
Our youngest son and his wife recently bought a new home.  One of the requirements in their association is that they needed to plant a tree in their front yard.
We wanted to do something special for them for housewarming, but also in memory of Melissa's grandma who passed away last year.

It does my heart good to see father and son working side by side!
Melissa chose a Kwanzan Cherry Tree that will have light pink blossoms in the spring and beautiful foliage in the fall.
Lucy came along and enjoyed a long cool drink from the garden hose.  It must have felt so good because she sprawled out flat and just laid in the puddle it created.  We went for a little walk while the guys were working and Lucy took some time to stop and smell the flowers.
Thanks for stopping by!
