Sentimental Sunday

Sunday, June 25, 2017
For my Sentimental Sunday post for today I wanted to brag a bit on our grand daughter, Gracie.
Gracie had her dance recital last week Saturday and she sure did an amazing job
The first dance of the recital was Gracie's duet with her teacher.  They danced to the song SKYSCRAPER by Demi Lovato.
The second song she danced was called
The last number she was in was her Jazz routine.  This was Gracie's first year to take Jazz.
She went through 3 costume changes and 3 hairstyles
At the very end they brought out all of the ages and levels and they got to "dance around." Gracie was just waiting for the end of the song so she could strike this pose...what a ham!!

Cards from Friends

Saturday, June 24, 2017
This past week I received not one, but 2 thoughtful cards from my PenPal Becky

Becky used the BEAUTIFUL YOU stamp set.  I cannot wait until I can be standing free like that!! Only 12 more days until I can start adding weight and then gradually work on walking without help of the crutches.  As much as I hate my bulky tennis shoes, I really cannot wait to take short walks AND getting back downstairs to my craft room.
The Lord is with you! What a great reminder and comfort!
Thank you my dear friend!

Waite Violin Studio

Thursday, June 22, 2017
Our Daughter In Law, Jessica, is very musical and has held violin lessons for many years.  How great it is when I get to watch the kids during one of her lessons each week.  We get to hear the violins playing through the vents and each time the kids turn to the music and smile.
Two weeks ago was her end of year recital for her students.  I was really wishing that I would be able to attend, but because of the team meeting I had to skip it.  Next best thing, I made some violin themed cards and a scrapbook page for her.
Thanks to my friend who has a Cricut machine and the violin cartridge that I could cut some out in a variety of sizes for these projects.
Jess just loves music related cards and it made me very happy to make these for her.

I forgot to take photos before giving them to her so she was kind enough to send these to me!
Here is a photo of Jessica and her students
About 3 times a year I hold a scrapbooking day.  I have a nice large crafting room and we would love to have you join us.  The cost is FREE and we just all bring some food to share throughout the day. Generally the hours for this class is 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. If you cannot stay that long, no problem! The next scrapbooking day will be held Saturday, August 19th.  Please RSVP by contacting me HERE .
Have you checked out the NEW scrapbooking supplies from Stampin' UP!? Stampin' Up! is partnering with Memories and More.  There are Albums, Photo Pocket Pages, and More.  You can check it all out by clicking HERE and place your order on line.

Guest Demonstrator

Tuesday, June 20, 2017
Dawn T was our Guest Demonstrator at our Team Meeting.
The technique that she used, she called Reverse Masking.
I love the outcome of the cards we all made
She brought up my Dragonfly Dies as well as my Butterfly Dies and we call could choose what we wanted on out card.
Before we attached the Copper Foil to our Island Indigo card base we cut our dragonfly or butterfly from the center of it.  This was you are saving on your product that will not be seen. Especially the foil papers because those are more expensive.

I love them all! Which one is your favorite?
The ink colors she used are Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Island Indigo.
The circle measures 2 3/4".

Team Shares Day 4

Monday, June 19, 2017
Today's Team Shares were made by Donne
Donne has a very successful class each month. She is actually in my SIDE-line, not my Downline. When our upline retired from Stampin' Up! I invited the gals to join my meeting night and Donne is the only one who joined us.  We are very thankful because she is always full of information that we can glean from.
I love this wedding card using the Eastern Medallions Thinlits. The Bride and Groom stamp is from a retired set, as well as the lovely embellishment in the center of the medallion.

The Stylized Birthday Stamp Set is so perfect on the fron tof this card and I love how she off set the papers on the front.
Donne had fun with the Wood Crate Framelit.  How cute with popcorn.  This would be perfect for a baby shower favor! The stamp set is called READY TO POP!
Look at this adorable bench she made using the Wood Crate Framelit. I cannot wait to get down to my craft room to be able to start playing with all my new catalog goodies.
She even shared the directions - Thanks Donne!
This adorable note cards were made using the Whisper White Note Cards found on page 195 of the new catalog. The color she used is the retired Mint Macron (one of my favorites). I love the note cards size 5"x3 1/2" and they come with envelopes.  What's New?? we now have the Note Cards in Very Vanilla!!
One last card from Donne - she made this long style card using the Cool Treats Stamp Set and Framelits. Even though the majority of the cards I make are 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", I do enjoy some of the larger cards like this one. I believe it fits in an #10 envelope that you can get most anywhere.
Thanks for sharing all your projects Donne!

And Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Father's Day!

Sunday, June 18, 2017
Happy Father's Day to my sweet Daddy!!
I am so very grateful that he is still here with us especially since he will be 91 years old next month.   He gave us some scares when he had congestive heart failure, but by God's grace he is doing extremely well and has the ability to care for my mom.
My daddy is a hunter and a fisherman. Just recently he was able to do some local fishing off a dock.  I can remember him coming home with buckets filled with smelt and the tedious job of cleaning those tiny little fish never swayed him. So when I saw this cute fishy card on France Martins blog I had to duplicate it for him.
 Cute Front
 Fun inside
So what do you think? Is it a wide mouth bass!!??
Love you Daddy!
