I received this first card as a swap card when I attended the OnStage event in Texas

The designer paper is called POETIC EXPRESSION and is on the Last Chance List.

This next card was cased from Ange McKay

I love the color combo of Soft Seafoam and Petal Pink. I stamped the sentiment with Versa Mark and heat embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder. So Elegant!!

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

I wasn't so sure about the wood elements in the March kit, but Anna spotted this card by Laura Seki so I thought that I would give it a try. She showed cards using the leaves, but I decided to make some with the trees as well.

They are pretty simple cards. I changed them up by adding a second layer to the front (the piece that is embossed)

The leaves have a Pretty Peacock border and for the trees I used Old Olive.

To color the leaves I stamped the leaf from Magnolia Mood on them (as suggested by Laura) and then filled in the stem and spots I missed with a light Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blend.

For the trees I used the Loveliest Tree Stamp (new) and Granny Apple Green Ink to stamp on the tree (I didn't want it to be too solid by just coloring it in with a blend), then the tree trunk was colored with a Light Pecan Pie Blend.

The stamp sets that I used are:

Unbounded Love (new)

Something Fancy

Hope You Know

Encircled In Nature (online exclusive)

Comforting Thoughts (new)

Measurements for the center pieces: Vanilla: 2-1/2" x 3-3/4", colored card stock: add 3/16" to each side

Sentimental Sunday

Tori's puppies are now three weeks old

Each week they get a bit more mobile so I think that the next 5 weeks will be pretty exciting with them running around. 

These pictures were take when they were 2 weeks old. Tori wasn't so sure of me putting her babies in the doll stroller. At this stage they all have their eyes open and all but one had reached one pound.

This is Tori & Banjo, the puppies daddy. Looks like they all took after him with the black and white.
