Guest Stamper, Inez

Monday, August 14, 2017
Today's featured stamper is Inez.  She, too, shared the cards that she made for her stamp classes...
This first card was actually made by Inez' daughter who is also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in Arizona.  I love the dirty pig look with THIS LITTLE PIGGY Stamp Set
This 2nd card features the CRAFTING FOREVER stamp set.  Inez' daughter attended a class by Lorri Heiling and this is one of the cards that they made.
COLORFUL SEASONS certainly is a favorite stamp set, that's for sure!!  I'm really liking the color scheme.  Kind of non-traditional Christmas colors.
Inez had a request for some flamingo cards and this was the first one that she made for her special order.  It features the FABULOUS FLAMINGO Stamp Set.
A Beautiful Christmas Card featuring the STAR OF LIGHT Stamp Set.  Love the Gold Embossing!
SEASONAL BELLS is the stamp set that is featured on this Christmas Card.
This card also features the COLORFUL SEASONS Stamp Set.  She stamped the snowflakes onto Whisper White Card Stock and then cut them out with the LARGE LETTER ALPHABET DIES.  If the ladies would cut them out carefully they would end up with a negative piece that they could use on a second card of their choice.
I love this last card because it was made by Inez' grandson!  Don't you think he did a great job??!! COOKIE CUTTER CHRISTMAS Stamp Set was carried over to the new catalog!  Good choice!!

Sentimental Sunday

Sunday, August 13, 2017
For My Sentimental Sunday Post I thought I would share some fun photos of Miss Lucy!  She sure has brightened up our life!!
Sawyer thinks Lucy's playpen looks like fun!
Can you spot the REAL puppy!
 There she is!!
Friday was a big day for Lucy and I guess Dale too!  Dale is always up before the crack of dawn so it's understandable he needs a nap during the day.  Friday Dale took me to the pain clinic for a steroid shot in my lower back so Lucy had to spend several hours in her playpen while we were gone.  She was so happy to see us when we got home!  I headed straight to bed with ice and Lucy and Dale took their nap in the living room.  When I got up this is what I saw and I couldn't resist snapping a photo.

Paper Pumpkin Special Meets A Little Wild

Saturday, August 12, 2017
I posted about the Fall into Savings with Paper Pumpkin super fantastic deal earlier this week, but starting yesterday you can take advantage of the savings through September 10th.  Did you miss that previous post?  No problem - just click HERE for a reminder.

In fact, Stampin' Up! came out with a short video for you to watch.  Remember if you are getting this in your in box just click on the blog post title and it will direct you to my blog where you can see the video.
Remember, this applies to first time subscribers only!!
Now, to give you a look inside the July kit (just in case you were wondering.)  Don't stop here - there are two photos at the end
Just look at everything that was included in this kit!
This is the stamp set.  I love the font and how you can use them together with the smaller word phrases
 Wood elements
What could these be?  Mountains, of course! (you'll see)
2 sizes of cards (3 colors)
Step by step instructions, 2 ink spots (soft sky and tranquil tide), glue dots, dimensionals, washi tape!!
This is the card that I made as instructed.
What did I change? Well, I sponged the mountains with crumb cake ink and then used a stamp from the August 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit to make it a birthday card.  Our pastor is from Montana and I just know he is missing his mountains so wanted to make this one for him.
This was my second card (inspired by Joni Martin from the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club)
What I did wrong... When I was using by Layering Circles Framelits (the scallop #5) I had the card base completely closed so got the cut out on the right side as well.  However, it did not cut all the way through so I left it as is and stamped my sentiment inside.
Don't you just love that cute little baby elephant butt!!
Another OOPS, was that I cut a LOT - seriously - a LOT of elements out in a months time for classes, etc. so I get new plates out the first of every month.  This cutting plate in only 11 days old and when I went to cut out the scallop circle I had to layer the white piece over top so that I would get the placement right, it seriously made my white card stock super dirty
Back to the drawing board.  Only 2 white card fronts with circles came in the kit so I cut my own from Whisper White card stock and the #6 Layering Circles Framelits
What did I change up from Joni's card?  I popped up the Whisper White front panel and added the love wood element.
Now Click HERE to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin and enjoy your first month at 50% off
Here is a list of the extra Stampin' Up! supplies that I used on this card
Stamps: A Little Wild Bundle
Paper: Coffee Break Designer Paper
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Fun Stuff: Stampin' Sponges, Silver Metallic Thread, Layering Circles Framelits
