Two Days to Valentine's Day!

Thursday, February 12, 2015
Getting close to Valentine's Day so I thought I would share with you some of the cards that I made to end out this year that did not get onto an individual post.  I do not have the POST CARD stamp but I DO have the My Digital Studio download!!  BONUS!!  This card is a blend of current and retired products and was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest
I love the simplicity of this card inspired by Siara Acdal.  All products used on this card are current!!  the stamp set is in the Occasions Catalog called YOU PLUS ME, Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, and Fashionable Hearts Embosslit.

For this card I used an old Sale a bration FREE set, See Ya Later, but I love the sentiment that says "Once in a lifetime you meet SOMEONE who changes everything."  The hearts are from a mixture of stamp sets... You Plus Me, Hello Life, Snuggles and Smooches, & I love the new Sweetheart Punch shape. This one was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.
Cute little fishies!! This one worked very well for my college age friends and was inspired by Janley Holeha.  Stamp Set: Hey Valentine
Hope you all have a LOVEly Valentine's Day tomorrow!!

Stepping It Up

Monday, September 22, 2014
I saw this card on Pinterest by Hayley and I like the simpleness of it, but found it rather plain
This first card uses Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron and the FLOWER SHOP stamp set for the largest flower.
Next Best thing (because I love the layout) was to change up the colors and using the same color scheme I just bumped it up to brighter colors.
In this stepped up version I used Old Olive for my green and Hello Honey for my yellow.  I still used the PETITE PETALS stamp set for the small flowers but used BEAUTIFUL BUNCH for my largest flower then gave the centers some added "oomph" by layering them, then adding the tiniest pearls in the centers.  FLOWERING FLOURISHES is the other stamp set I used as well as Delightful Dozen (retired) for the greeting.
This is just one of the cards that will be out for you to stamp at tomorrow's COME STAMP WITH ME class.  You must know the drill by now...
TIME: 10am to 5pm
COST: $1.50 per card you choose to make
Come when you can, leave when you must.

Happy Mother's Day!

Sunday, May 11, 2014
I waited to set my post for today until after I had a chance to spend some time with my Mom for Mother's Day.  After morning church my two sisters along with their husbands, Dale and I and our parents met at a yummy Chinese Buffet for Mother's Day lunch.  We were certainly missing our fourth sister and her hubby but when you live a distance away it is hard to be together at all the milestone dates throughout the year.

This is the card that I gave my mom for Mother's Day - it is one that we made at last weeks COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY CLASS and was inspired by a card I saw on Stampin' Connection.  Forgot to document who the original demonstrator was and not sure mine looks just like hers because I was making it from memory.  No problem it's good to change things up a bit.

Happy Mother's Day Mom!! Love you so much!

What a fun and easy card to send to someone who has recently received their drivers license.  This card was inspired by Brian King (yes, Stampin' Up! has some great masculine stampers out there)

I used the stamp set LABEL LOVE #130622 $17.95 combined with the ARTISAN LABEL PUNCH #130920 $15.95 to create the traffic lights.  These two items can be bought as a bundle #132722 $28.95 and you save 15% - BONUS!!
The words are from DELIGHTFUL DOZENS #122652 $24.95

Minion Madness

Thursday, July 18, 2013
Tyler and Gracie begged to go see the movie DESPICABLE ME 2 when it first came out.  I was not quite sure about it since I had not seen the first one and all the commercials looked rather silly to me, but when my friend Rachel said her family loved it I knew I could trust her judgement so I gave in to their pleading to watch it.  I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it.
Here is Tyler and Gracie standing by the movie poster
And Tyler with his giant tub of popcorn - never saw a kid who loves his popcorn like Tyler does - Unless it is his Uncle Joey, that is.
I said to the kids that now I needed to make a punch art Minion card - so what did I see on Stampin' Connection the VERY NEXT DAY? A Minion card.  I followed the photo by Tanya Bell to make my Minion.  Not sure that I did it exactly like hers but I think he turned out rather cute.
I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the variety of birthday greetings then stamped a separate one in Pacific Point ink, cut it out and popped it up.  His shoes are made using the framelits from SECRET GARDEN.

Thanks for stopping by, and remember you can grab inspiration from ANYWHERE!! Even a kids movie!!

Get Well Soon

Wednesday, April 10, 2013
I don't know if your family was affected by the "bug" this past winter, but it sure was a nasty one.  I thought these fun get well crafty items would be a great addition at the craft sale coming up on Saturday, April 27th at the Hudsonville High School.  If you live in this area we hope to see you stop by.  The craft sale is a fund raiser for the High School Orchestra so they can get some much needed new uniforms.  Won't you come and support them with me?  This cute Rhino was one I saw on Beth's blog, but she gave credit to seeing it on Angie Juda's blog - see I am not the only one who CASEs another talented stamper.
This tissue holder was one I got as a 3D SWAP at Leadership from Sherri Peters.  I am not sure if she was the originator of this design but I was thankful to have traded such a cute item.   These are the ones that I made up for the craft sale...

Ears To You

Wednesday, March 27, 2013
Bunnies! I love bunnies! When I was a little girls I had a big white bunny with beautiful red/pink eyes and appropriately named Snowball.  So even though I do NOT think the Easter bunny is real, bunnies do represent the newness of Spring.
 A closer look...

These Easter cards were made using the single stamp set EARS TO YOU.  I'm not totally fond of the words that came with it so I used the greeting from DELIGHTFUL DOZEN.  The greenery is from JUST BELIEVE.
The previous cards were inspired by Sandi MacIver
However... this one is my own. The inside says..."Happy Easter" from the WACKY WISHES stamp set
One more... inspired by Melissa Davies - I think this one is my favorite
