Sentimental Sunday

Sunday, August 2, 2020
It's been a while since I posted a Sentimental Sunday post
Dale & I are in a small group within our church and last year one of the guys died suddenly of a heart attack. We miss this guy so very, very much.
As a group we wanted to purchase something for his wife in his honor.
After much debating and searching we decided on a bench that will set in front of our church where people can sit while they are waiting for their valet car to arrive.
This is the majority of our group. I was not there as well as two others.
They asked if I would be willing to make a card that everyone would be able to sign
I used a non-Stampin' Up! bench die, and the words were generated on the computer.
The stamp sets that I used are:
     Colorful Season
     Vertical Greetings
      Enjoy Life

Weekly Challenge

Monday, July 27, 2020
Last week's challenge for my team was to make a 3D project - something that they might sell at a craft sale or make as a gift for a friend or family member.
I showed them the note holder that I made
Janell was first to send in her item(s)
She made a couple "Rolling Boxes" that she cased from JanB
She also made this darling little box that fits a cookie or 4 Hershey Chocolate Nuggets
She also made a cute card to coordinate
Lynda made a cute purse using the All Dressed Up Dies. Love the colors!
Vicki made a cute candy treat holder. I'm liking all the candy!
Don't miss out on Bonus Days - though August 3rd
For every $50 spent you get a Bonus Days code for $5.00 off your order placed in August. Check out the details below.
Carla made a pretty box using the Poppy Designer Paper. A cute little treat box for sure
But she also made these fun treats for her grandson's birthday party
Barb used the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies & some of our new plaid Designer paper that is coming out in the Aug-Dec Catalog. I just love the Seaside Spray card stock color. Enjoy it NOW because it will be gone when the new Annual Catalog comes out in May 2021. Yes, you heard me right. The Annual Catalog has a new launch date for May instead of June.  Just giving you a heads up.
Inez made some cute calendar cards
If you want to purchase some of these mini tear-off calendars you check them out HERE
Susan made this file folder card with a easel style post it note holder,
and some cute gift card holders,
and I can tell you by experience that gift card holders sell very well at a craft sale.
Debbie made this darling gum treat holder and made the Zany Zebra just like the Fruit Stripe Gum Zebra.
So Cute!
Rachel said that she went with the "good 'ol Sour Cream packet style treat holder"
She used the Today's Tiles Stamp Set to create the designer paper
Anna made a gift box using a card front, and the Cute Fruit Stamp Set. Her colors are Melon Mambo and Garden Green
The last one to come in is from Chris who made this cute Tulip arrangement for her Mom
I decided to try the rolling box that Janell made, so here is my version, but I feel it needs to be dolled up somehow.
I used retired card stock (Lovely Lipstick) and retired Designer Paper. (these boxes take nearly 2 full 12x12 sheets)
Jodie made a cute little Christmas box to hold treats
Don't miss out on the Bonus Days - check out the details below

Retiring Favorites

Tuesday, May 5, 2020
Along with last weeks weekly challenge I decided that
Each day I would make a card from a retiring stamp set
These 2 are from BORN TO SHINE - I made these for our grand daughter who is really missing her dance classes and I had made these to give her at her competitions and recital

I was quite surprised when they did not carry over the CLUBHOUSE bundle
I am in a Tutorial Medley Face Book Group and this one was designed by Janet Goshorn.
Everyone who places an order with me on any given month will receive that months tutorials for FREE. Just my way of saying thank you.  There are 30-35 in our group and that is a LOT of tutorial inspiration!
This was a Mother's day card that I made last year, but this year I offered it for sale on facebook so I was making more this year. Using the TEA TOGETHER Stamp Set and Dies
This sweet card is using the NEW WONDERS Hostess Exclusive Stamp Set. I just love that little fairy girl.
This card is good for a laugh and uses the YOUNG AT HEART Stamp Set
This darling card was featured on our Tutorial Medley FB group by Melissa Davies. The flowers and umbrellas were cut out from Designer Paper. The stamp set is WELCOME EASTER but I think it is adorable for a baby shower.
ENJOY LIFE is the stamp set for the sentiment, but the SEASONAL LAYERS FRAMELITS DIES are rating with this cute Adirondack chair.
PEDAL TO THE METAL Stamp Set was in the Mini Catalog and I am sad that this one did not carry over. It is so great for teens. The banners I used from BIRTHDAY BONANZA and the Embossing Folder was a freebee in the Sale A Bration brochure.
THIS LITTLE PIGGY has gotten a lot of attention with the whole Covid-19 thing going on.
Some of these could easily be repeats on my blog, but when you find something really cute you want to share it. Maybe these cards will encourage you to purchase the stamp sets featured before it is too late. I cannot imagine parting with any of these stamp sets.

Trash of Treasure Over The Moon

Wednesday, July 10, 2019
This past weekend I was wrapping a gift with this black and white chevron wrapping paper and had a little bit left over from the cut, and of course I thought that it would be cool paper for a card! Tell me that you all think this way too!! I guess I would consider this a Trash or Treasure? card.
I love the OVER THE MOON Stamp Set and have been wanting to try this grassy image using the ENJOY LIFE Stamp Set that I saw on Pinterest by Gail O'Neill. This went together super quick and easy because I actually had some STITCHED RECTANGLES already cut out from a previous project.
Here is a second wrapping paper card:
These cows just make me smile!!
I chose to use Poppy Parade Card Stock and Ink for my red color.
The sentiment comes from PARCELS & PETALS
The Dies used: STITCHED SHAPES, LAYERING OVALS & MERRY CHRISTMAS DIES
