Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Sunday, October 6, 2024

The first Thursday of the month we gather together with a small group of Paper Pumpkin subscribers to assemble our kits together. Sometimes we grab ideas off from the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club Facebook Page, and others we create our own or make them up as the samples show us.

Here are the cards that were made...

The first 4 cards were made by Karen

The next 3 cards were made by Anna

GRATEFUL BLESSINGS stamp set used on this next card

I believe these next cards were made by Patty

COURAGE & FAITH stamp set used on this next card

WATERCOLOR WISHES stamp set (retired) used on this next card

Next up is Sheila and Marcia - they shared a Paper Pumpkin kit

Lastly are the cards that I made

The Happy Thanksgiving comes from PLEASANT PHEASANTS Stamp Set

COURAGE AND FAITH is the stamp set used for the sentiment on the front of the card on the right, stamped with Night of Navy.

My favorite are the ones with the little woodland critters

I went to Google to print off some clipart, and found these - adorable!!

The stamp that says "grateful for family like you" is a past Paper Pumpkin kit. These stamps come in so handy. Another great reason to be a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber.

When I ran out of the copper leaves in the kit I used the coordinating add-on dies to cut some leaves from the Oxidized Copper Specialty Paper. Also used on these cards are the DECKLED CIRCLES and DECKLED RECTANGLES dies.

Another one with a cute critter - this time I used the 4x4 piece of patterned paper that was the back side of the card that I made the one with the mushroom and snail, plus I used the envelope flap from the 4x4 envelope and got 3 more.

I needed more tree stumps so I pulled out my RINGED WITH NATURE and stamped, cut and sponged my own.

The "Happy Thanksgiving" that I am using on several cards is from a past Paper Pumpkin kit
Now, I will admit to ''cheating" a bit because we have a great printer/copier that I can make copies of certain elements to "stretch" my kit just a bit. I loved this kit and I would encourage you to grab a subscription for yourself. If you are a NEW subscriber you can get your first kit for 40% off.

Leaf Labels & Gems

Wednesday, November 9, 2022

This next Thanksgiving card was inspired by a card that was shared on Stephanie's blog.

The designer is called GINGHAM COTTAGE. I cut the LEAF LABEL in half which saves $ by only using one leaf per card, plus I stamped the little scroll style stamp on the leaves using Early Espresso Ink. There were no instructions on Stephanie's blog, but I did my best to figure it out. The Amber Gems are included with the Leaf Labels and are so very pretty for fall.

Rustic Harvest

Wednesday, October 26, 2022

In a couple weeks I will be heading down to Indianapolis Indiana for another Stampn' Up! event. This time it is called OnStage. This event is open for every level of demonstrators and there will be 7 of us from this Creative Crew that will be attending together.

I recently got a couple emails with some wonderful news that I wanted to share with you.

These are the two awards/badges that I earned - I'm pretty geeked. Oh, I know that there are MANY other demonstrators that will have more badges than me, but I'm still pretty happy with these two awards the I will be honored for at the OnStage event.

Stampin' Up! events are always so much fun!

My next Thanksgiving card is made using the RUSTIC HARVEST Designer Paper

This card was inspired by Tara Gollem on the Demonstrator Facebook page (sorry I do not have a blog link for Tara). I love this designer paper! Better get yours before it is too late. Thanksgiving and fall card making time is upon us.
