Home Again!!

It is good to be home!  But what a wonderful time we had in Utah!!  So many new things learned to share with you all.  I just need to get my head wrapped around the normal routine again.  I did want to share with you though, the pillow gifts that I made for my two friends who shared a room with me at convention.  I was so glad to have Donne and Carla come to convention and to share our flight as well because I don't do so well on my own in situations like this.

I saw a package like this on Stampin' Connection but changed it up with the NEW designer papers in the catalog.  Which reminds me to remind you that the Designer Paper special is still going on through the end of this month.  Buy 3 get 1 FREE - that is a $10.95 savings AND for July ONLY I am offering FREE shipping for orders over $35.00 It's a win-win situation.

This is the "pillow gift" that Donne gave each of us...

And this is the "pillow gift" that Carla made for each of us...

And even though Glenda did not share a room with us she still gifted us with these

A handy dandy note pad and pen inside the clear mount case - somehow it just tickled me that she gave us the blue pen to match the designer paper.  I am such a sucker for cool ink pens.

I bet you all would like to see some cards though, right?  These are the cards that are out for you today when you COME STAMP WITH ME!  Come anytime between 10 am and 5 pm for fun stamping, great chit-chat, and hopefully some new ideas.  Remember only $1.50 per card you choose to make.

Once again for the card with the number on it you may make it any number you want or you can leave it blank or you could add a monogram letter.  I made mine say 86 because that is how old my mom will be very shortly so shhhhh.... don't spoil the surprise.  Oh, and yes, I did case these cards from other fabulous demonstrators on Stampin' connection and Pinterest, but the only one I have a name for is Chat W on the Christmas card.

Stampin' Up! Extended a challenge to those of us who attended Convention Create. Inspire. Share. and one of those is that we would sign on one more person than we did last August/September.  Of course I had to take the challenge and my magic number should be easy but I NEED YOU! By the end of September I need to sign on 3 new Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.  When you become a demonstrator you have complete access to the Stampin' Connection to gather fabulous ideas like these.  Contact me now for the details

More Minion Madness

Last week we had our Annual Talent Night at our church's Summer Wednesday Night Dinners.  This is usually the highest attended event during these 6 weeks and it is so much fun to see all the kids and adults participate with their talents.  This year I had a new MC for the evening and he did a Fabulous JOB!! and his friend helped as well and the two together were hilarious!  One of the fun skits that the kids did was the YMCA song from the Despicable Me 2 Movie.  The 6 kids dressed up like Minions and did a Lip Sinc - it was GREAT!!
I like to send a thank you card to everyone who participates and I couldn't resist making Minion cards for these kids.

One little girl fashioned a single goggle - it looked so cute with her yellow swim cap!

Great job kids!!

RHSSC #84

Yes, I know, I didn't participate in the Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge last week.  Sorry about that.  I just could not wrap my head around that sketch

But I am at it again this week and this is the sketch we had to work with this week...

And this is my take on the sketch...

 See...it's a peek-a-boo card

I thought I would use some retiring colors for this sketch challenge... Regal Rose and Certainly Celery.  If you REALLY love these two colors you might want to order them NOW before they go on the retired list as once it hits the "list" it will be "while supplies last".

I used the Oval Framelits to cut the opening and to make the Certainly Celery "frame" around the opening.

Stamp Set used: Just Believe

I finished it off with the Flower Trim from the Spring Catalog.  I LOVE these little flowers.  They are soft so they don't add bulk, just dimension.  You can even change their color by using markers or ink and a dauber.  You can see I added a touch of Regal Rose to my Flower Trim using my marker.

Now click HERE to see what the other gals came up with for this sketch challenge and while you are at it...why not play along with us?!!!

This is one of the cards I made to send out for July 4th.

Sorry about using some retired items (the ribbon and the small star)

but I loved the lay out of this one and since I need to use up some of this

retired product, maybe you do too.

Have a great Fourth of July Celebration!

Sweet Baby Thank Yous

Oh My Goodness!!  I LOVE how these turned out!!

Jen Sannes shared these cute baby dresses on her blog,

but they were also featured in the

Stampin' Up! publication called Stampin' Success.

Jen made her ruffles with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, but

I chose to make my ruffles with Taffeta Ribbon.

The Designer Paper used is from the retired DSP pack

called Pawsitively Prints.

Mouthwatering

Not only can you make your own envelopes with the new Simply Scored Diagonal Plate,

but this is one technique that we made at this months down line meeting.

I saw this card directly on the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator web site.

Another great perk for purchasing the starter kit.

The background resembles the waffle of the ice cream cone - isn't that so cool!

And what a quick and easy way to texturize your card.

It is not too late to purchase the starter kit at a discount.

For only $125 you get $345 worth of product, and there is

absolutely NO commitment beyond this point.

But wait, there's more...

EACH month you can get a pack of Designer Paper FREE

through December 2012

Contact me soon to take advantage of this fabulous deal!

Special price is good through March 31, 2012

On our family blog http://thewaiteestate.blogspot.com my husband has been doing something called The Picture of the day so I thought maybe I would give it a try on this posting.

This is your picture of the day.  Can you guess what it is?

April Thank You's

Everyone who placed an order with me during the month of April received this pretty 3x3
card in with their order that was inspired by Leann Greff, and uses the stamp set
Nature Walk. Personally I am hoping they carry this stamp set into the new catalog in
July, but you never know which ones will make it.

The Vanilla Rosettes were colored by taking a couple drops of re inker (I used Rich Razzleberry to match the card stock), and some water and then I just set them in there until they got to the color I wanted. If I wanted them darker I would just need to add more drops of re inker.

Wouldn't you like to receive a thank you from me?
Just place an order by contacting me through this blog
or click HERE to place an order on my Stampin' Up! web site.

Have a Blessed Day!!
