January Classes with Darling Label & Piece of Cake

It's time to sign up for the January Stamp a Stack Classes!
I will arrive home on Thursday the 17th and the first class will be on Saturday, January 19th at 9 am.
If this class doesn't fit your schedule then perhaps you can make it to the Wednesday Class, January 23rd at 9am.  Oh, Dear, do you need an evening class? I am happy to set a date for you that fits your schedule best, PLEASE CONTACT ME to sign up for the class of your choice

These are 2 of the cards that will be at the Stamp a Stack Class
This first card was inspired by Sandi. It features the BRIGHTS 6x6 DESIGNER PAPER STACK. and the DARLING LABEL PUNCH BOX.

Such a cool little kit where you get the DARLING LABEL PUNCH, a set of 6 Photopolymer stamps, a clear block, 2 Ink Spots in Grapefruit Grove and Night of Navy, plus this very cool tin! It's gorgeous and you can use it for gifting your hand stamped cards or a variety of ways. Using my imagination I can picture a tin of treats for the neighbors, or it neatly fits your STAMPIN' BLENDS MARKERS. I bet you could come up with a ton more ideas.

What did I change up? I used a variety of colors of the Designer Paper. Shown here is Gorgeous Grape.

Other product used: STITCHED SHAPES FRAMELITS, PETALS AND MORE THINLITS DIES, GLITTER ENAMEL DOTS, and WHISPER WHITE POLKA DOT TULLE RIBBON, Which is one of my very favorite new products that came out in the Annual Catalog last June.

This second card was inspired by Shelly Wadge from Australia.

This card features a brand new stamp set called PIECE OF CAKE.

Sometimes I think Stampin' Up! has a love affair with cake stamps, but this one really caught my eye and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.

PIECE OF CAKE comes as a BUNDLE with a punch instead of dies. I LOVE IT!! I also love the 10% I saved when I purchased the stamp set and the punch as a BUNDLE.

Other product used: FOLIAGE FRAMES FRAMELITS DIES, TIMELESS TEXTURES Stamp Set,

What a perfect card for a wedding!

What I changed up: Shelly used the masking technique to layer her cake layers, but I simply stamped the 2-layer cake three times and stacked them. Instead of punching out the two bottom layers of cake I cut them by hand because I didn't want it to "round in."

The details were colored in using my STAMPIN' BLENDS MARKERS

Colors used on this card: Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Smoky Slate

Don't forget that we are in the first month of SALE A BRATION!

For every $50 you spend you get to choose a FREE product from the Sale a Bration Brochure

Guest Demonstrator

Dawn T was our Guest Demonstrator at our Team Meeting.
The technique that she used, she called Reverse Masking.
I love the outcome of the cards we all made

She brought up my Dragonfly Dies as well as my Butterfly Dies and we call could choose what we wanted on out card.

Before we attached the Copper Foil to our Island Indigo card base we cut our dragonfly or butterfly from the center of it.  This was you are saving on your product that will not be seen. Especially the foil papers because those are more expensive.

I love them all! Which one is your favorite?
The ink colors she used are Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Island Indigo.
The circle measures 2 3/4".

Bridal Shower Gift Card

Another one of my day care kids is getting married!! I was not able to attend her bridal shower because it was the same weekend that I was at the ONSTAGE LOCAL event for Stampin' Up! in Toronto.

I'm not sure how old Kyra was in these photos, but isn't she beautiful!!  I made so many photo albums of the kids and now am gifting them away to them on special occasions.  This photo is taken from one of those albums.

This is a 5x7 note that I made to go in with her gift.  I used TIMELESS TEXTURES and BEST BIRDS stamp sets.

Along with her gift I wanted to add a gift card so this is the card that I made.  I used GRATEFUL BUNCH, FALLING FOR YOU, and DELICATE DETAILS Stamp sets.

This is how it looks on the inside.
I am looking forward to her wedding reception on Saturday.  She will make a beautiful Bride!! How do I know that??
One Halloween she came dressed as a bride. Precious, precious memories!!

I love them all so very much and am thankful to still be a part of their lives.

May 31st is the final day to place an order from the RETIRING LIST list.  Please remember that everything is WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

Sentimental Sunday

What a emotional day!  One of the sweet little girls that I used to care for when I was doing child care, is getting married.
Kyra was almost one year old when she came to Aunties and what a joy she was and still is.  I've said it before and I will say it again - Doing Child Care was the BEST job that I ever had!

This picture was taken from one of my photo albums that I made of all the kids that I cared for.

Today is the bridal shower for Kyra.  She was a darling little girl and now she is a beautiful young woman ready to marry the man of her dreams.

This is the gift card that I made for her.

I put this inside along with her gift.  Then I made this 5x7 note card as well to write a note to her

Cards from Friends

Another thoughtful card from Becky!  What an amazing story we have of a 48 year friendship that has always been long distance.  We became Pen Pals when I was only 12 years old (she was 11)!  Our children are about the same ages and now we both have grandchildren approximately the same ages.
Becky is an amazing crafter - with MANY talents.  Most of the cards she sends me are hand made, but this weeks card she sent is a store bought - yet beautiful, card.

It's so funny that when I see store bought cards I start thinking how I could recreate it.  I love all the flourishes in the background.

So here is my take on this design:

INSIDE:

STAMPS: Best Birds, Timeless Textures, Watercolor Wishes, Gorgeous Grunge

CARD STOCK: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Flirty Flamingo, Watercolor Paper

INK: Crumb Cake, Mint Macron, Soft Suede, Flirty Flamingo

FUN STUFF: Birds & Blooms Thinlits, Tags & Labels Framelits, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Blender Pen, Linen Thread, Dimensionals

Dear Friend

Saturday was the Official World Card Making Day.  Did you spend time making some cards?  Did you share them or that time with friends?
I was delighted to find a handmade card in my mailbox on World Card Making Day!!  How thoughtful of my friend Carla to send this card so it would arrive exactly on that day!!

You can probably feel my joy at receiving such a beautiful card.  The best part is that is isn't my birthday or anniversary or even a special holiday like Christmas, etc.  She sent it because she loves me and I rejoice in that!!  Friendships are so important, won't you share a card with someone today?

Thanks Carla!! You made my day!!

A Perfect Blend Birthday

Another Special Order Card for the President of the Coffee Club!!  (He's only 14 years old!  It's a fun family thing I guess)

I never purchased the PERFECT BLEND stamp set but I did get it when My Digital Studio was still up and running, so instead of borrowing the stamp set from a friend I just printed it out.  One thing nice is that I could add the Happy Birthday to the labels right there on MDS.  I added splashes from the stamp set GORGEOUS GRUNGE and the coffee stain from TIMELESS TEXTURES.  I even added 3 coffee beans to make it authentic.

Here are the products that I used:

Simply Sports

My Kelly finished up her Freshman year at Michigan State College with flying colors and played on the State Softball Team as well.  I am so proud of her dedication to excellence! I just had to make this card for her!

I just love these kids!  Lake will graduate in 2017.  I started caring for them when they were only 3 months old and I feel like they will be "mine" forever.

While I was at it I decided to make up a card using each of the images from the SIMPLY SPORTS card stock...inspired by Tamara on Pinterest.  She made hers using the Note Card and Envelopes, but I decided to make my full size cards.
