A Birthday Wish...Just For You

Sunday, June 4, 2023

How about one more (for now) Zany Zoo Critter card?

This card was cased from Mikaela Titheridge
Oh my goodness, these animals are so cute - of course I have my favorites, and this card incorporates my three favorites!

The ZOO CREW Designer Paper is so perfect because you can cut out the cute critters with your paper snips

The ZANY ZOO Stamp Set makes it possible for you to stamp and cut out the raccoon and the turtle, but you can only get the elephant in the designer paper. Some Stampin' Blends were used to add color to each of the animals. (Smoky Slate on the elephant and the raccoon, Crumb Cake on the turtle)

The circles were cut from Balmy Blue and Lemon Lolly using the STYLISH SHAPES Dies.

Since I did not purchase the stamp set (yet) I had to choose a set that I had on hand from WAY BACK called REMEMBERING YOUR BIRTHDAY, and the music notes are from MUSIC FROM THE HEART. The DOTS & SPOTS DIE is also a favorite of mine.

I love this card so much - it just makes me smile!! The ladies will be making this card at an upcoming Tuesday class.

Another Special Order

Tuesday, June 7, 2016
This musical card was another Special Order for a young man (14) who loves to play the violin.
The violin was created using a variety of Punches and Dies.
I followed this "pattern" from Pinterest substituting where I needed to for the supplies that I had on hand.  The sentiment is from REMEMBERING YOUR BIRTHDAY.  Click HERE to place an order with me.
Remember to use this HOSTESS CODE for the month of June 2016

Sprinkles on Top!

Friday, January 8, 2016
WE ARE HOME!!
It was a wonderful vacation, but it is time to get back into the swing of regular life again.
It is great to see Gracie again for her regular M-W-F morning breakfasts with us and then a drive to school.  We love our time with all of our kids and grandkids, but we probably spend the most time with Gracie.  This morning we thought it might be a nice treat to take Gracie to our local donut shop called SPRINKLES for breakfast before school.

Gracie typically will choose a regular cake donut with white frosting and sprinkles on top (and today was no different), so this is the card that Gracie will find in her lunch box today.
The cute Donut and sprinkles designer paper is called Cherry On Top

Pick a pack of patterned paper! So many designs, so many colors, so many uses! Each sheet is double-sided for double the creative options. Smaller size works beautifully on card fronts.
* 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs
* 6" x 6"
The stamp set used is called REMEMBERING YOUR BIRTHDAY
Click HERE to start shopping.  My free shipping special is finished now that I am home from vacation and getting back into the swing of things, but Stampin' Up!'s Sale a bration continues through March 31st and for every $50 order (before tax and shipping) you will get one item FREE from the Sale a bration brochure.
Click HERE to download the PDF if you have not yet received a brochure.

Sweet Saturday

Saturday, October 31, 2015
We celebrated Gracie's 10th birthday today!  It sure is fun watching her grow up.
This is the cake that I made for her
After the 10 candles... This is "Wishes" the Shopkin.  Gracie is obcessed with Shopkins and she got several more for gifts.
Jewelry kit from Gramma and Grampa
 Make a wish Gracie!
Originally Gracie wanted her cake to be pink with sprinkles on it!  Perfect!! Nice and easy and then her card matched perfectly.  Last minute Julie found this Shopkin cake so we went with it!!
Oh boy! Uncle Joey and Aunt Melissa gave Gracie the "noisy toy" this year...
Sawyer wanted to get in on the fun of opening gifts
Speaking of Sawyer - he is a man on the move.  So much fun to watch him pick himself up and keep on trying

Busy Week!

Monday, June 15, 2015
This is going to be a busy week!  Tonight is the last Card Club Meeting and I always look forward to being with these special ladies.  The next 10 month round of Card Club starts up again in September and YOU can get in on this fun.  Here are the details of being a Card Club member...
CARD CLUB GUIDELINES
1.    Our Club consists of 10 member
2.    Each Club member will be required to place a minimum catalog order of $15.00 each month.
3.    Our Club will meet once a month for 10 months, (we will meet the third Monday at 7:00 PM in my home) giving each member a chance to be a hostess once.  Remember this is a 10 month commitment.
4.    After the first meeting you will know what month you will be hostess and you can increase your benefits higher by doing any of the following options...
  • Schedule a private card making class either in my home or yours the week prior to club meeting and I will combine the sales from the club meeting and your private card making class to bring you to a higher hostess benefits level
  • Bring friends along when it is your night to be hostess.  If you do bring a guest along to the club you must let me know ahead of time so I have everything prepared for them as well.  Plus they are required to place a minimum $15.00 order, just like the rest of the Club members.
  • Bring in outside orders
  • Have a catalog party and get orders that way
       5.     Each hostess will receive 10% in Hostess Dollars to spend on product of her choice
       6.    When it is your turn to act as hostess please bring a snack to share with the group at our    meeting.  I will provide coffee, pop, napkins, plates, etc.
7.    If you are sick or unable to make it to a scheduled Club meeting, please email me at christiwaite@gmail.com AS SOON AS POSSIBLE with your order or call me at 616-581-3469 with your order.
8.    If you are unable to attend a meeting and it is your month to be the hostess, please call me as soon as possible.
9.    If you have friends who would like to come to a meeting they are more than welcome to come but they must submit a minimum catalog order of $15.00 just like the rest of the Club members.  Make sure they are aware of this before they get to my house!  If you do bring friends along I must know at least 1 day in advance so I have everything ready.
10.   At each meeting you will be making 3 cards using different products or techniques.
11.   If you miss a club meeting I will stamp up the pieces needed and will give you the directions to complete your cards at home.
12. If you travel during the winter months I will stamp up the pieces needed and mail you them with the instructions to complete your cards.  I will need to have your club order before the actual club date as well as a credit card number on file.  I will add the postage to mail the club contents to you onto your order.
This is one of the cards that the ladies will be making tonight

Home again!

Tuesday, February 3, 2015
We arrived home late (11 pm) Sunday night.  It was been a crazy busy day trying to get everything put in place, get groceries, have Gracie for the day and evening, and finalize everything for a class at night that I never got to blogging for Monday.  I wanted to say congratulations to the winners of the drawing that I had for the month of January.  Everyone who spent $50 or more went into a drawing for the GOOD GREETINGS stamp set.
The winner for that drawing is Nancy M. Congrats Nancy!
The second drawing that I had was for the week that I was away at Leadership and for everyone to placed an online order during that time went into a separate drawing for this bundle of goodies...
And the winner is...Patty G!  Congrats Patty! and thanks for placing an online order while I was away!!
Now on to some new items to share with you.  I thought with my week in Orlando and a one day visit to Magic Kingdom that this would be a perfect card to make and show you all.  I saw a sample on the boards at Leadership so I have no idea who made it.  I'm not even sure how she made the castle, but I used the stamp set CALLING ALL HEROS.  She had 3 turrets on her castle, but I made mine with 4. The Rhinestone was colored using a pink Sharpie Marker.  I forgot to list the stamp set REMEMBERING YOUR BIRTHDAY and the WORD WINDOW PUNCH in the list of supplies.

Darling Doily

Tuesday, January 20, 2015
I thought is was about time to try playing with my Darling Doily Thinlit.  Especially after I learned this fabulous new, and very helpful tip from several demonstrators out there.  This is what the Darling Doily looks like when I ran it through the Big Shot using Basic Black Card Stock
You know what it is like when you have to poke out all the little pieces from something like this, right? Very frustrating sometimes.  I purchased some unscented fabric softener sheets from the dollar store
using 4 sheets, and folding them in half so I have 8 layers
Once the piece is cut out, place it on the Big Shot and run it through again
All the little pieces come out perfectly
Pretty cool, right?  How pretty!
And look at all the fun pieces that come from it
 I see a fun face
 A bitty flower
 a goofy face
 A happy face
 carrot noses for a snowman
The reason I started this all was actually because I needed a some perfect eyes for my punch art project.  This is the piece that I needed.
Aren't these the perfect eyes for my little alligator? This is one of the punch art cards that we will be making at the Punch Art Class tonight. And this cute alligator was inspired by Alex on Stampin' Connection
Thanks for stopping by!
