Throwback Thursday

Thursday, August 3, 2017
I love a versatile layout!
I was massively low on wedding cards for the store and super low on sympathy for myself personally and those who purchase cards from me here.
I found this layout on Pinterest by Michelle Lupton from Australia who is not a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, but I loved the layout.
I pulled out some retired stamps (Flowering Flourishes and Backyard Basics) to create this and used a non-Stampin' Up! stitched die by Gina Marie. The sentiment on both cards is from ROSE WONDER.  The colors I chose are Tip Top Taupe and Very Vanilla with the butterflies being colored in with Calypso Coral watercolor pencils and blended with the Blender Pen.
Oh Yeah!! here is the new Hostess Code for August! I would love to earn your business!! Click HERE to shop with me 24/7!

Special Order!!

Monday, June 8, 2015
My friend is a great one for stretching the imagination when it comes to cards and crafty ideas.  She is attending Medical training classes and will graduate later this year.  She completed another level and wanted to thank the teachers for their patience in teaching her to draw blood.
She saw my pencils made with Rolos chocolate candy (FYI - I couldn't find a photo of my Rolo Pencils so this is a photo of the ones Carla made for our craft sale in May)
and she wanted to make Syringes using the same technique.  This is what we came up with...
Her teachers loved them!!
She also wanted gifts for some others who were instrumental in helping her.  This time Dale made up 3 of his small vanilla candles and I printed on, and stamped on the tissue paper to  melt into the side of the candles

Stepping It Up

Monday, September 22, 2014
I saw this card on Pinterest by Hayley and I like the simpleness of it, but found it rather plain
This first card uses Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron and the FLOWER SHOP stamp set for the largest flower.
Next Best thing (because I love the layout) was to change up the colors and using the same color scheme I just bumped it up to brighter colors.
In this stepped up version I used Old Olive for my green and Hello Honey for my yellow.  I still used the PETITE PETALS stamp set for the small flowers but used BEAUTIFUL BUNCH for my largest flower then gave the centers some added "oomph" by layering them, then adding the tiniest pearls in the centers.  FLOWERING FLOURISHES is the other stamp set I used as well as Delightful Dozen (retired) for the greeting.
This is just one of the cards that will be out for you to stamp at tomorrow's COME STAMP WITH ME class.  You must know the drill by now...
TIME: 10am to 5pm
COST: $1.50 per card you choose to make
Come when you can, leave when you must.

Faux Tile

Wednesday, September 11, 2013
Last week at the Red Hot Stampers Down line meeting our fellow Red Hot Stamper, Sara, demonstrated a sponging technique. And step by step we sponged this gorgeous card together.  Sara is a VERY talented sponger and card maker. You can visit her blog HERE.

Last night was the down line meeting for Christi's Crew (C3) and I thought perhaps they would like to try their hand at sponging too, but I didn't want to copy Sara, and I also thought I would start a bit simpler.  I saw this Faux Tile technique on Stampin' Connection and wanted to give it a try.  I asked Sara if she had ever done it, and she had not as of yet, but she gave me the link - I love being a Red Hot Stamper because we share everything with each other.  Thanks Sara!

I think maybe I should have Sara be a guest demonstrator at one of my down line meetings!!
