Come Stamp With Me

It's another Tuesday and it is time again for COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY!!  These are the cards that we will be making...

The fabulous stampers that I was inspired by are... Beth Suhr from Splitcoast Stampers, Chat Wszelaki, Gretchen Barron, and a sketch challenge by Sheryl Dreyer of Splitcoast Stampers.

Some of the stamps are current and some of the stamps I used are retired, but that is the beauty of COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAYS - we get to revisit some fabulous stamps and papers.  Stamp sets that I used are: Just Buzzin' By!, Simply Sketched, Creative Elements, Delightful Dozen, Thoughts and Prayers, Flores Suaves.  So go ahead and pull out some of your old, yet favorite stamps and paper and give it a try!!  But in the mean time COME STAMP WITH ME!  My craft room is open today from 10 am to 5 pm, and the cost?  ONLY $1.50 per card you choose to make.  Make as many or as few as you want or need. Valentine Teddy, You Rock!

I followed the punch art directions from Erin Gonzales to make this Valentine Teddy Bear card for our granddaughter, Gracie this year.  The sentiment is from a retired stamp set called HAND PENNED. And the little hearts Embossing is from the ADORNING EMBOSSING FOLDERS $8.95 #125601 which comes in a three pack, and the FULL HEART PUNCH is embossed with VINTAGE WALLPAPER TEXTURED EMBOSSING FOLDER.  Do you love the sparkling Glimmer Paper as much as I do?  Well you can get it for FREE by having a personal card making class during Sale-a-bration (January 22, 2013 - March 22, 2013) with a minimum class total of $150.00.  Along with this you get $25 in FREE hostess dollars to spend on YOUR CHOICE of Stampin' Up! product.  Easy to do, just contact me soon as my calendar is filling up fast.

This is the Valentine I made for our 10 yr old grandson, Tyler, inspired by Krystal DeLeeuw. Stamp Sets used are GRUNGE ROCK and CREATIVE ELEMENTS.  The words were computer generated, but if you happen to have the retired stamp set called JUST JAWING you would be all set.  Hearts were made using the Full Heart Punch, and the FASHIONABLE HEARTS Embosslit.

RHSSC #35

Time for this weeks Red Hot Sketch Challenge

This is the sketch we had to work with...

 and this is my take on it...

As always, Miss Melina helps me out with inspiration on the Sketch Challenges.

It was her idea to make the X with leaves or branches,

but when I went downstairs I had a "Lucky Leftover" card

sitting on my table that was just begging to be used.

MENU: 

SS: Delightful Dozen, Creative Elements (fast becoming my favorite stamp set),

I stamped the flower three times and then cut them out in three sizes or stages and layered

them on top of one another with a Stampin' Dimensional

CS: Baja Breeze, WW, Pear Pizzazz

INK: Rose Red

Punches: Decorative Label, Bird Builder

Accessories: Matchbox Die (for the Pear Pizzazz label behind the WW label),

Basic Pearls, Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Dimensionals

FYI: the Matchbox die is on the retiring Accessory List (#114890 $42.95)

and as of right now, Saturday evening, 5-5-12, it was still available.

It was designed after the DEAL OR NO DEAL game show on TV

I made it for my friend to give to a gal who works in a bank.

 

The original card, from a previous Stamp A Stack Class, looked like this...

 

The card did not have all the "extra's" on it, but when I saw the base with 

the two ribbons on it I knew I could carefully peel it apart to crisscross them.

With Mother's Day coming soon, I thought it would be perfect to give to my mom

for Mother's Day.  I am so very thankful to still have her (and my dad) with us.

Gate Fold

For our Techniques class this month we made this lovely Gate Fold
card inspired by Debbie Henderson

The ladies had a lot of cutting to do on this months technique cards. I tell them I love to cut things out so am always willing to help them if needed, but these pretty flowers from the Stamp Set CREATIVE ELEMENTS look ssssooooo much better when they are layered and popped up.

Colors used are Pretty In Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Wisteria Wonder. Designer Paper from the In Color Paper Pack. the flowers and butterflies are stamped with StazOn Black ink then cut out.

RHSSC #18

The Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge for this week is...

When I took a look at this one I was wondering whatever would I put in the highlight spot where you see the oval, but then I looked around my table and spotted the card I was preparing for a Techniques Class coming up on Monday, January 16th, and knew that the pretty flower from the stamp set Creative Elements would be perfect for this one.

I looked at it and looked at it and knew it was missing something.
If you follow the sketch challenges you know that we can flip the
sketch if we desire so that is exactly what I did...

yes, I liked it better this way, but it still missed a sentiment

yup, just that little bit helps, plus I spritzed it with Champagne Shimmer Mist
and now the Wow factor popped. Too bad you can't see how it shimmers
by looking at this photo, but in person it is quite stunning.
