Dainty Flowers Designer Paper

Monday, January 30, 2023

As we walk through the Sale a bration brochure, the next FREE product is the DAINTY FLOWERS DESIGNER PAPER.

I think that this might be the favorite of the Level 1 free products ($50 order). There is so much that you can do with this beautiful paper and if you are a scrapbooker, you have even more to use this for. You get 12 double sided sheets of 12x12 designer paper.

Here are some of the cards that I made for the display at the Mid-Winter Retreat

Other Products Used: Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon, Scalloped Contour Dies
Other Products Used: Brilliant Wings Dies, Scalloped Contour Dies, Double Oval Punch, Timeworn Type Embossing Folder
Other Products Used: Scalloped Contours Dies, Double Oval Punch,
Brilliant Wings Dies, Double Oval Punch, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Peaceful Moments Stamp Set
Other Products Used: Brilliant Wings Dies, double Oval Punch, Scalloped Contour Dies, Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon, Very Best Occasions Stamp Set
Other Products Used: Brilliant Wings Dies, Double Oval Punch, White Seam Binding Ribbon, Scalloped Contour Dies, Seaside Bay Stamp Set

Did you notice how many repeats of products that I used on each of these cards, and yet all of them look differently? This is a great example of how to use your products well.

These next two cards were inspired by Lynn Dunn

Lynn does a paper share just like me and when you cut this 12 x 12 designer paper into 6x6 pieces you get 1/2 of these floral ovals. This card is genius for how to incorporate that piece into a pretty card front. It measures 2-1/4" x 5". Some Metallic dots and the circle dies set it off perfectly.
This card designer paper is 3" x 5-1/2" and then the 1/2" that is cut off the top is flipped to show the opposite side, and that is what you see behind my sentiment. I used the new Happy Labels Pick a Punch for the 3/4" label. Lynn used some white Bakers Twine on her card and the metallic dots, but since I have cut several kits for my Tuesday classes I am running out of white twine so I substituted some silver twine and some Festive Pearls

At our retreat, Sue did a live demonstration of a self-closing box and she used the Dainty Flowers DSP - so cute!! She did a great job!

Inez also did a live demonstration showing how to make a small tote. I call it a "bag in a box" because the bottom is a box that holds it all together. I just love these! they are the perfect size for gifting some cards or a small gift or treat!
I also used this beautiful paper to decorate some yummy chocolates as a gifts for our small group at church as well as for the ladies that attend my monthly card club.
Other product used: Fabulous Frames Dies, Dainty Delight Dies, Flowers of Friendship stamp set.

This last card will be used for my Faith Based Card Class

6x6 Gift Purse

Monday, April 25, 2016
Look at these cute little purse bags!  Glenda shared the how-to on a Youtube Video and I had to give them a try.  I think these would be perfect for giving as a graduation gift as it is only 1/2" deep. Perfect to hold a gift card and maybe a Ghiradelli Chocolate.
If you want to watch Glenda's Youtube version she will also show you how to make a couple of other projects as well and some beautiful pansies.  I decided to use up some of my retired product to embellish them with.  I forgot to mention in the supply list below that I used the stitched 5/8" ribbon in Basic Black for the handle.  This item, too, is on the retired list.
Here are the supplies that I used to make the cute purses

This is the final post for this week filled with Craft Sale treats.  I just love these little bags and each one holds 4 - 4x4 matching cards with envelopes.
Scroll to the bottom to get all the details on the Craft Sale coming up on Saturday.
 Some with butterflies
And some with flowers.  Each one holds 2 Thank You and 2 Happy Birthday cards.
This last one is probably my favorite - I think they look very elegant with the Basic Black and Very Vanilla Designer Paper
We made these little tote bags at the April Projects Class.  If you don't want to miss out on learning something fun and new please join us.  All classes are listed on the right side bar of this blog.
CRAFT SALE DETAILS:
This coming Saturday, May 16th we will be participating in a Craft Sale which will benefit the Women's Life Journey at City on a Hill.  This event is held at the Community Reformed Church 10376 Felch St., Zeeland MI.  It opens at 9am and goes until 3pm and we look forward to seeing you all come out to this event and while you are there please check out our vendor booths.  Dale will also be there selling his amazing all-natural soaps, lotions, candles, etc.

Happy First Anniversary

Monday, August 5, 2013
Yesterday was our son, Joey, and his wife, Melissa's, first anniversary!
Can it really be that a full year has gone by this quickly??
Last year when I was making these cute purses that I saw on France Martin's Blog I found this cool animal print paper at a local craft store.  They both have a velvety feel, and I was drawn to the animal skin pattern.  I've always liked that, but it is also a favorite of Melissa's so I thought these would make up super cute - and I was RIGHT!!

The following day I saw the excess black specialty paper sitting on my work table and thought "I wonder if that would make up a cute owl?"  So I set to work...I had minimal pieces of the animal skin so my ideas were limited but lookie what I came up with for Joey and Melissa's
First Anniversary Card...
It's a a Tarzan and Jane theme!!
I laughed and laughed!!
I love this card!!
I used the Wood Grain Embossing Folder, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla card stock

Happy First Anniversary Joey and Melissa!!

Love You!!

Mom

A Family Christmas

Sunday, December 23, 2012
We celebrated Christmas with the kids and grand kids on Friday night.  Along with the store bought gifts we gave each of them I also made a set of cards for each of the girls
For Julie who loves owls...
 Inspired by... Beth Crocker

 For Jessica who loves music...
Inspired by Elizabeth Sanders

And for Melissa who will often wear animal print fabrics...
The purses were made using the instructions from Frenchie.  But to get exactly what I wanted for the girls I used printed glimmer paper purchased from a local craft store.

We had a delicious meal with everyone pitching in - even Henry helped me make the potatoes

How do you like the bib I made for him using the Scallop Circle Die and the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies.  Didn't want Henry to get all messy working in the kitchen.  Henry thought he would play a little hide and seek....look where I found him...taking a ride in the Lazy Susan!
Joey and Melissa had a power outage so they came early to make their yummy chicken and pasta salad.

Jessica is doing her final touches on the vegetables and it sure seemed nice to be able to walk out of the kitchen and let the kids do their thing.
Thanks For Stopping By~

The Kitchen Fairy's Purse

Tuesday, October 2, 2012
OCTOBER!!  can you believe it??
Well October is the birth month of the Kitchen Fairy!
My friend, Melissa, has a super kind and giving heart, and for some strange reason she LOVES to clean. She has helped me out in a pinch several times especially after I make a mess in the kitchen making cakes for our kids weddings.  That is why I call her the Kitchen Fairy.
I decided to give Melissa a gift at the beginning of the month since she has to wait until the very last day of the month to actually celebrate.  Why not celebrate all month, right!! And since her birthday is on Halloween she LOVES HALLOWEEN.  She did all her decorating yesterday!
As I was making these cute purses for the craft sale I thought I would make one up for Melissa and pack it full of Halloween cards for her to give to her friends and family.
The paper I had on hand from a retired Halloween Designer pack was perfect because she LOVES PURPLE!  I laugh at her because she is color blind, but she can pick out PURPLE! and the little black bats are flocked (raised up and fuzzy)

Click HERE to pop over to France Martin's blog
This is where I got the video tutorial on how to make these.
Thanks For Stopping By!

Have a Blessed Day!!
