Picture Perfect For My Sister

Today is my big sisters birthday.  Judy loves hummingbirds and when the PICTURE PERFECT STAMP SET came out in the Occasions Catalog (January-May 2016) I knew I would have to make her a birthday card using this set.

My sister is so sweet! When I was laid low after surgery, Dale and my brother-in-law attended a men's retreat put on by our church, so my sister agreed to sit with me for Friday night and Saturday. She prepared our meals and even baked up some cookies.

It's so wonderful to have not only 1 big sister, but 3 and we really needed one another this past week when we watched our momma slip peacefully into Glory.

We've spent a lot of time together this past week, but we also want to take some time today to celebrate Judy's birthday by having a nice lunch out together.

Here are the supplies I used:

My drawing for October is...
MAKING EVERY DAY BRIGHT Photopolymer Stamp Set

And the CHRISTMAS BULB BUILDER PUNCH

There is so much more to this stamp set than just Christmas. Can you see the cute little bunny, and one that looks like bunny ears? So cute for Spring, along with the flowers. Then there are pinecones, feathers, spider webs and so much creativity!

HERE ARE THE DETAILS for the monthly drawing special:

1. For every $50 ONLINE order (before shipping and tax) you get your name in the drawing.

2. This cannot be in combination with placing an order for a free class, sorry.

3. The drawing will take place on Tuesday, October 30th (because I am leaving for Florida on the 31st for ONSTAGE)

That's it! So now - please - go place your online order!!

October also brings a new Stampin' Up! year and time to start earning the next incentive trip. I have yet to earn one of these and I am super geeked to give it a try again this year. The 2020 incentive trip will be in Maui and I most definitely want to go with all my Stampin' Up! friends.

Each month you will see incentives for sales from me so that I can earn this amazing opportunity. Won't you partner with me to work toward this goal!!

Come Stamp With Me!

Tuesday's is always a COME STAMP WITH ME day!! It must be my favorite days of the week because my stamping friends join me to stamp and create. If you live in my area I would love to have you stop by between 10am and 5pm to make these cards with us.  You can contact me HERE if you have any questions

Card #1: was inspired by Lorri Heiling.  What a fun gift card holder using the POCKETFUL of SUNSHINE stamp set and the coordinating dies.

Card #2:  Starting in July I have a Christmas card out each week.  The ladies love this and many of them make multiples.  This is always the first card to sell out.  The snowflakes are from the new stamp set COLORFUL SEASONS, but I combined it with the retired stamp set Zoo Review and Many Merry Messages

Card #3: The great thing about my COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY is that I allow myself to use retired stamps, papers and accessories. This cute froggy is from the Hostess Exclusive LOVE YOU LOTS stamp set, but I combined it with the (still current) SwirlyBird Stamp Set and Swirly Scribbles Dies and the POP OF PARADISE Stamp Set (the Hello). This card was inspired by ? - I cannot remember where I copied this card from.

Card #4: (inspired by Pinterest) and since I was borrowing the POP OF PARADISE Stamp Set from one of the gals on my team, I thought I might just as well use the Flamingo image for this fun card using the (now retired) Designer Paper, Pop of Pink.
Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! items that I used for today's cards:
Stamps: Happy Birthday Gorgeous, Pocketful of Sunshine, Zoo Review (R), More Merry Messages (R), Colorful Seasons, Swirly Bird, Love You Lots, Pop of Paradise, Time of Year (R), Express Yourself (R)
Card Stock: Dapper Denim, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White, Soft Sky, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, Pop Of Pink DSP
Ink: Dapper Denim, Crumb Cake, Versa Mark, Memento Black, Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo, Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Gold Encore (R)
Fun Stuff: Pocket Framelit Dies, Whisper White Embossing Powder, 1/4" circle punch, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Retired Embossing Folders, Gold Embossing Powder, Gold Sequins, Black Thick Bakers Twine, Melon Mambo Thick Bakers Twine, Triple Banner Punch, Bunch Of Banners Framelits Dies, Stamipn' Dimensionals, Glue Dots.
PLEASE - PLEASE - PLEASE - Shop HERE with me.

Happy Birthday, Tyler!

Another family birthday today!  This time we celebrate Tyler who is turning 14 years old today!  We actually celebrated both Jeff and Tyler's birthdays yesterday.
While Jeff's favorite pie is the GOLDEN LEMON CHEESE PIE (recipe is on yesterday's blog post) Tyler prefers fresh raspberries.  I made a fresh raspberry pie, but kept out some seperate for Tyler and Gracie to eat alone.

This is the card that I made for Tyler

It is so hard to believe that he is turning 14 years old already and is just completing his middle school years.  Next fall...High School!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Get Well

I know - this is NOT a Stampin' Up! Stamp BUT... A couple weeks ago I went to stamp at my friend Judy's house and she wanted to make a card for her mom using this stamp because her mom had had surgery recently.  That's when the light bulb went off and I asked if I could stamp one too for my sister Vicky who fell and crushed her knee and broke the large and lower bones in her right leg.  She is being held together by screws and a metal plate.  She is doing so well and she said that she was able to do a few rotations on her elliptical machine.  She is such a strong woman - I am so proud of her.  Won't be long and she can ditch her walker and graduate to crutches!!

This little mouse was too cute to NOT share with you all.  And this is a great sketch to use for your cards.  Here is one that we made at our Stamp A Stack Class last week using this same sketch

The Framelits I used for the first card are called DECO LABELS

#130102 $24.95

For the Second Card I used:

Stamp Set: WETLANDS, EXPRESS YOURSELF

OVAL FRAMELITS #129381 $26.95

RHSSC #96

For this weeks Red Hot Stamper Sketch Challenge I wanted to use some of the NEW products in the catalog.

The Textured Embossing Folder is called ALPHABET PRESS #130916 $7.95
The candles are from the Jumbo Wheel called appropriately BIRTHDAY CANDLES #130111 $8.50.  I took the wheel apart and mounted it on some CLEAR MOUNT CLING FOAM #124236 $10.95 (2- 8 1/2"x11" sheets) and made my own clear mount stamp.  If this were still a wheel it would not be so easy to use my markers to multicolor the candles.  The "happy birthday" stamp set is from a Hostess Level stamp set called EXPRESS YOURSELF.  The last NEW product on this card is the PRESSED CLAY BUTTONS #131272 (molds set of 2 - buttons and flowers) $7.95, and the CLAY #130685 $6.95.
I highlighted the flames with some extra Daffodil Delight marker and a touch of White Gel Pen #105021 $3.95

That's all for now! hope your liked my take on this weeks sketch challenge.
Now click HERE to see what the other gals did with this challenge.
