Fine Art Gallery Part 5

Thursday, February 25, 2021

Continuing my week long blog featuring the Art Gallery Bundle (#156227) and the Fine Art Designer Paper (#154558)

Will I get all of my cards posted in 5 days? I'm afraid I made at least 90 cards with several varieties so I may need to extend it into March.
Today's cards I will feature floral design #4 - Bottom left in the photo above.
This first one was inspired by Kylie Bertucci a Stampin' Up! demonstrator from Australia
The opposite side of this designer paper is the pool party as you see in the Stitched Nested Labels Die (#149638), so all you need to do is cut out the piece from the center and flip it over. I also popped it up using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430)
I miss cut a couple pieces of Designer Paper so I ended up adding a layer of coordinating card stock. One the left is Terracotta Tile and on the right is Bumblebee. These are both In-Colors and the Terracotta Tile will be retiring in May so NOW is the time to purchase it before it is discontinued. Which way do you like it best?

Card #2 was inspired by Mary Deatherage
There is one spot in the Designer Paper where there is more blues and less flowers so I liked her idea of flipping it and having the flower come off the top left corner. Using your Stitched Rectangles Dies cut the smaller rectangle from the center, mount it on a piece of card stock and then pop it up on the card front with dimensionals.

My "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" is from Many Messages (#154510) and cut with the Messages Die (#154422) You can save 10% by buying these two products as a bundle (#156272)

I had one piece of designer paper that was large enough to add it to this card front. I chose to use the Terracotta Tile color for my flower with Mossy Meadow leaves. I also pulled in some Terracotta Tile 1/2" Scalloped Linen Trim (#149705)

I had a couple 1-1/4" strips of designer paper left so made a couple of this design inspired by Nellie. The flower is stamped with So Saffron and Bumblebee with a Merry Merlot center. The burlap trim seemed to fit well.

Fine Art Gallery Part 4

Continuing my week long blog featuring the Art Gallery Bundle (#156227) and the Fine Art Designer Paper (#154558)

Today's first card features the #3 floral print. So very pretty!
I have a friend who gifted me these envelope liners that were left over from her daughter's wedding invitations. It was a perfect chance to use on these cards plus get a liner for the envelope too. It was a bit of a challenge to get the Ornate Layers Die to cut through the glitter paper, but it turned out gorgeous. The flower colors are So Saffron, Bumblebee and Mossy Meadow.
With the left over 1-1/4" strips I made these cards using Very Vanilla Card Stock and the Painted Texture Embossing Folder. The ribbon is the 3/8" Fine Art Ribbon (#154561). I chose to stamp my flower in Flirty Flamingo, Merry Merlot and a Night of Navy center. I especially like the dies for the sentiments. This layout was inspired by Nellie

Fine Art Gallery Part 3

Tuesday, February 23, 2021

Continuing my week long blog featuring the Art Gallery Bundle (#156227) and the Fine Art Designer Paper (#154558)

This first card was one of the first ones that I made inspired by Heather Geurrero
I made several using a variety of the prints in the Designer Paper. It only takes a 3/4" x 5-1/4" strip so this is a perfect layout for using up your scraps.

The Painted Texture Embossing Folder (#154317) matches with the Fine Art Designer Paper so I used it plenty on many of the cards that I made.

I know that Valentines day has passed, but I loved this one so cut enough for a Tuesday class next year. (Nothing like being uber prepared). It features the Be Mine Stitched Dies (#151814). It was inspired by the Closet Stamper.

With the leftover 1-1/4" strips of Designer Paper I made a few of these cards inspired by Nellie
The flowers were stamped with Flirty Flamingo, stamping off the first layer and full strength on the top layer.  This is what i used for the center since I wanted the center to be smaller than the stamp provided. Using my Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker, I inked up the smallest flower on this stamp, and since it is a photopolymer stamp (totally see-through) it was easy to line up. I used the Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon (#144213) for this card along with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder.
Card #4 was made for a new team member. Putting down a layer of vellum over the bright Designer Paper helps to tone it down a bit. The center circular die is from the Painted Labels Dies (#151605). The 'Welcome" comes from a Demonstrator exclusive stamp set
This next card uses the same So Saffron Designer Paper Pattern. It was inspired by Lynn Dunn
What I changed up: My center piece of card stock is Basic Black but Lynn used Mossy Meadow. Not much of a change, but I liked the contrast.

Fine Art Gallery Part 2

Monday, February 22, 2021

Today's first card I used just the Art Gallery stamp set. My colors are Pool Party, and Basic White with the ink colors for the flower in So Saffron and Mossy Meadow.
I used the brand new Blending Brushes (#153611) to blend some Pool Party Ink around the edges of my embossed 4" x 5-1/4" layer. By doing this it sets the layer apart giving it more dimension.
The Die Cut that I used is the Many Medallions Dies (#153584) I could get 2 cards from one die cut. You may notice that I needed to trim some of the edges to make them uniform.
A few Elegant Faceted Gems (#152464) give it a finished look. (these are one of my favorite embellishments). They come in Clear, Petal Pink, Pearlescent White. I used the Petal Pink - I think they look more like a champagne color.
Card #2 I featured the Fine Art Designer Series Paper. and I CASED this card from Karen K
The image that is behind the sentiment IS from the Art Gallery Stamp Set stamped off with Pool Party ink. I also used this stamp for the little banner on the front of the card.
What I changed up: The sentiment. I used the sentiments inside and out from Woven Heirlooms.
I also used the Elegant Faceted Gems on the front of this card.
Colors: Pretty Peacock and Pool Party
Another card using this same print. I had one piece of Designer Paper left that was large enough for a card front and an envelope flap. I had a bunch of pre-stamped flowers on my work station so this went together super fast.
And then with the 1-1/4" left over strips I made several of these cards inspired by Nellie
The flowers are stamped with So Saffron and Bumblebee with a Merry Merlot center.

Card #5 - I was inspired by Ann Alexander
I thought this card was very elegant with the Pretty Peacock card stock with the flowers stamped with Pool Party and Pretty Peacock. The Pool Party Sheer Ribbon gives the card a soft look (#152462).
What I changed up: Ann used the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate (#154557) on her Basic White card base, but wanted to keep the card cost-effective so all I did was randomly stamp the butterflies from Floating & Fluttering with Sahara Sand ink.
The Stitched Nested Labels Dies (#149638) are cut from the Sahara Sand Foil which is a part of the Love You Always Foil Sheets Pack (#154286), but it is very close to the Champagne Foil (#144748) so either will work.
The Vellum (#101856) foliage die cuts come from the Forever Flourishing Dies (#152714)
The Pretty Peacock front piece measures 5" x 3-3/4" and is embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder which comes in a 2 pack - each one measuring 6-1/4" x 3-3/8"

Fine Art Gallery

Sunday, February 21, 2021

Last week I decided to focus on the Art Gallery Bundle (#156227) and the Fine Art Floral 12x12 Designer Series Paper (#154558)

So this week's blog posts will be featuring the cards that I made using either the Designer Paper or the Stamp Set or a combination of both.

One of the cool things about the dies is that it includes this die cut "just wanted to say"
We have a gal who works with my hubby at church who just got the good news that her scans are clear after chemo treatments for Ovarian cancer. We are beyond excited for her and her family at this good news so this first card was for her.
This second card (inspired by Karen Henderson) I combined it with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder (#154317) and the Curvy Dies (#154319). I will be using these cards for my team members for top sales rewards.
On each card I cut the words out from the Gold Foil Sheets (#132622).
The colors that coordinate with the Fine Art Floral 12x12 Designer Series Paper (#154558) are:
Bumblebee, Flirty Flamingo, Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Terracotta Tile, Whisper White.

Get Well Soon

Thursday, February 18, 2021

I'm using some retired Designer Paper for this get well card that the gals made at the Tuesday, Come Stamp With Me class this week.

So nice to have a chance to use up some of my retired papers. This card is easily duplicated by any current  designer paper or whatever you have on hand.  It's good for us to use up the products that we purchased.

Get Well, Thinking of You, Sympathy - these are all the cards that are the most popular lately. So sad that we are needing to send out these types of cards, but I know that they are so appreciated.

Just for your information:

Stamp Set: Blossoms in Bloom (#152684)

Designer Paper: Pressed Petals (retired)

Sweet Strawberry

Wednesday, February 17, 2021

One of the new, fun set in the January-June Mini Catalog is the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set  and it is Bundled with the Strawberry Builder Punch  (#156214)

I teamed it up with the Buffalo Check back ground stamp - one of my favorites and so versatile to use with anything!! (#151372)
The "vines" for the strawberries are from the Stitched Stars Dies (#150653)
The sentiment was stamped onto Basic Black card stock with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder
Card inspired by Rosanne Mulhern
