Sentimental Sunday

Sunday, July 3, 2016
Tomorrow Sawyer turns 2 years old!  We are so thankful for this smart, wonderful child.  He went through some rough patches with his health, but we are so thankful for his progress.  We will be so happy when he can come off his feeding tube, but in the meantime we are thankful that he is getting all the nutrition a growing boy needs!
Yesterday we celebrated his birthday with cake and ice cream

He wasn't so sure about the baseball mitt we got for him, but I'm sure he will learn to love the sport like the rest of the family.
Bubbles!!! it was one of his favorite gifts! Watching him try to blow them had us all in stitches
 Yummy Cake!!
He dug right into that cake like no ones business, using a fork and everything.  What great progress he is making!!

Someone gave him gardening tools for his birthday and he took them right into the garden.  Such a smart boy!
This is the card that I made for him this year
Since Sawyer's birthday is on the 4th of July I could always give him a Red, White and Blue card each year, but he won't want that all the time.  This cute card (inspired by Mary Brown ) has 2 - count them - 2 Dinosaurs for a Dino-rrific Birthday!

This is a cute little banner that I made for Sawyer's birthday party, using the June Paper Pumpkin Kit...
I filled each little triangle bag with the Mini M&M's (found in the baking aisle), then I stamped the circles (every other one) with the 2 circle stamps that are included in the kit and added the gold foil alphabet letters.
Click HERE for my private Paper Pumpkin link and subscribe with me.  You certainly won't be sorry. I will be starting a Paper Pumpkin Night once a month once we are settled in our new house for anyone who is a subscriber under me OR if you are in my Stampin' Up! downline.  This is a huge encouragement for you to subscribe through me. It will be scheduled for the third Thursday of the month starting July 21st. You can bring any kit past or present to work on.   You will have access to all my supplies and it is so much fun to bounce ideas off each other.  You can make your kit up as is or opt to make some alternative projects.  The first Paper Pumpkin Night will be Thursday, July 21st at 6:30 pm. Please RSVP HERE

Playing with Dinosaurs Again

Monday, September 21, 2015
Since I was borrowing my friends NO BONES ABOUT IT stamp set I thought I would make up this one to sell at the stores before I had to give it back.  The designer paper is from the GO WILD PAPER STACK
YUP - you heard me right - storeS!  An new store opened up in town and we were in the right place at the right time.  This small gift store called the COTTAGE BARN only has 10 vendors and Dale and I each hold one of those 10 spots.
We feel honored!  The Grand Opening was last Friday night so we were there to watch the festivities.  Praying that this new business is a good fit for Hudsonville and for us as well.  If you live in our area please stop by to check it out, it's absolutely darling!   The address is 3500 Chicago Drive.  Need more info about the store?  Fox 17 News did a spotlight on them and if you click HERE you can see the clip.  If you look closely you will see Dales candles scattered here and there.  Very Cool!!

No Bones About It!

Tuesday, August 4, 2015
As you can see I have been playing with the NO BONES ABOUT IT Stamp Set quite a bit lately.  They are just so much fun!  This particular card was inspired by Kirsteen Gill on Pinterest, and I love how she made it into a shaker card.
Cute bones! right?! Check out how Kirsteen made them.
Cute little bones, right?  Want to know how she made them?  This is the Tree Builder Punch that coordinates with the Sprinkles of Life RMHC stamp set for 2015-16  You can see that stamp set HERE
I always have a bunch of 1/2" strips of Whisper White Card Stock sitting around from when I cut for the inside paper of my cards and they came in very handy for making these bones

Want a smaller bone? You can use the side branches
Pretty Clever isn't it?  Here is the card again
The designer paper I used in the background is from the Paper Stack GO WILD.  Check it out HERE

Dino X-Rays

Another cute Dinosaur card using the NO BONES ABOUT IT Stamp Set
I  love this flip style card especially for this cute dinosaur card!  And don't you just love his little XRAY?!! The Designer Paper that I used is from the GO WILD 6x6 Paper Stack.  I combined one of my Paper Pumpkin stamps with the "No Bones About It" stamp.
*If you come to my monthly CARD CLUB you get instructions for fun folds such as these.  My 2015-16 classes are full, but I am hoping to open up a second night of stamping fun.

  • What does it mean to join a CARD CLUB?

The club runs for as many months as there are members.  Ideally we have 10 ladies and the club runs for 10 months with the minimum purchase requirement of $15.00.   One of the months each of the members will have a chance to be the Hostess and earn the Stampin' Rewards.  If you want to have 5 ladies in your group you have the option of running for 5 months or 10 months with each of you having 2 chances to be the Hostess and receive the Stampin' Rewards.  Minimum purchase required on this size class will be $30.  (and so on and so forth)

  • Have you been wanting to sign up for the Paper Pumpkin, but have been "sitting on the fence" about taking that step to actually sign up?  Well, have I got a treat for you!  For all of you who are a Paper Pumpkin subsciber through me you will get 6-8 exclusive ideas from us on how to use your Paper Pumpkin other than what the instructions tell you in the kit.  The ideas you get in the kit are great, but many times you have supplies left over or you want to switch things up a bit.  This is when the exclusive ideas will come in handy. Plus as a subscriber you can purchase more supplies from previous months.  Not a subscriber yet?  Sign up before August 10th to get in on the August Paper Pumpkin subscription. Click HERE to get started.   You can choose to pay by the month or save some pennies and subscribe for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription.

A Dinosaur Dig

Wednesday, July 22, 2015
This next card using the NO BONES ABOUT IT Stamp Set looks like a dinosaur dig.  Very clever idea by Martha Inchly on Pinterest.
I think this would be a great idea for a little boys birthday invitation and then you can theme the birthday party around dinosaurs and one game could be digging for plastic dinosaurs in the sand.  FUN, FUN, FUN!!!
