PAPER PUMPKIN!!
What a great time to subscribe when we are cooped up at home for this quarantine.
Paper Pumpkin comes to your mailbox every month filled with everything you need for the projects inside. In fact with your first kit you will receive a clear block to mount your stamps on, and they always come with an ink spot for your stamping.
Check out this video...
  • About the kit:
  • Kit contains supplies for 8 cards and envelopes
  • Card size: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Envelope size: 4-1/2" x 5-3/4"
Coordinating Colors: Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz, Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam.
I just ordered a second kit to be sent to our 14 year old grand daughter, Gracie, so we can put the kit together over FaceTime. I really miss my time with her. She was here 2-3 times a week (sometimes more) and now NOTHING!
I really miss this face!!
You have until April 10 to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin in order to get the April kit called "WONDERFUL FAMILY"
I know that they plan these kits many months in advance and who could have guessed that this would be perfect for this season that we are going through.
This is one of the alternate cards that I made with the March Paper Pumpkin Kit. Thankfully I had the insight to purchase 2 kits that month because one of my gals had a glitch in her subscription and I was able to sell it to her. Actually I probably could have sold a half dozen of that kit after the fact. So don't miss out - this is going to be another wonderful kit.
Go to paper pumpkin.com to subscribe and please choose me as your demonstrator!! I would greatly appreciate it!!

Wonderful Moments

Tuesday, April 7, 2020
It's hard to imagine ALL of the life events that have been put on hold or simply just changed up completely because of the Covid-19 Coronavirus that is plaguing our world.
I know personally of 2 couples who ended up getting married in their living rooms instead of the fancy church wedding that they have been preparing for, for months.
So today I thought I would share with you some wedding cards that I made a while back using the WONDERFUL MOMENTS Stamp Set.

We are doing great through this time. Dale still works at maintaining the church building, but he is rather lonely in that big building all by himself.
He is all caught up with his soap business, and thankfully he is still getting little orders here and there, as the stores where he sells his products are all closed down.

My life hasn't changed a lot because I normally spend my days working on cards and classes any way, but what has changed is that my stamping friends cannot come to stamp with me. Normally I would have my Stamp A Stack Classes this week, but all that is put on hold.

I already have soooooo many cards for upcoming classes, and am getting a bit weary of it. BUT... then I go to bed at night fully assured that God is in control, and I wake refreshed and start all over again in the morning

I am so very thankful for the orders that are trickling in and helping me keep my head afloat during this time.

Weekly Challenge

Monday, April 6, 2020
Last weeks Weekly Challenge to my team was a color challenge
The colors I chose are: Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather and Calypso Coral...
I share my card with them to get them started:
Here are the cards that some of my team members came up with:
 Brenda
Lynda
I love it that they both pulled out their gingham designer paper, but the two cards are totally different!
Karen used he March Paper Pumpkin Kit Stamps
Anna used Painted Poppies and Sending You Thoughts
She even sent a photo of the inside of her card:
Vicki - Love how she colored her ribbon with a Stampin' Blend
Inez made this Herringbone technique card using designer paper
Barb also used the Rise & Shine Stamp Set - so cute!
This card was made by one of our newest team members: Rachel
Since Rachel did not have the exact colors of our challenge on hand, she didn't let that stop her.
This is what Rachel said:
"I have nothing current so made due. Inspired by my Aviary set since we are all cooped up in our houses. 🙂
Calypso Coral, Lavender Lace, Gumball Green color combo.
Aviary, Hardwood & Sheltering Tree stamp sets.
Apple green grosgrain."
Carla sent these cards made with the Butterfly Gala Designer Paper that was one of the FREE products from 2019 Sale a ration

Flowering Foils

Friday, April 3, 2020
I know that Sale a bration is over, but that doesn't mean that we need to stop using all the fantastic products that we earned.
I have been making cards using the SAB Free DSP Flowering Foils
I have made up kits for each card of 6-10 kits depending on how much paper I had.
Need a kit? Only $1.50 each
When you cut up the floral design you get several single flowers a a few double flowers
inside: Don't waste the little edge pieces, they are perfect for the inside
This one I cased from Mary Brown. I only changed up the sentiment using Path of Petals
Inside:
You may or may not have seen me post this next one on Face book. I cased it but left off the sentiment so I can use it for anything I want,
I love this tiny flower design. This is the card that we made at Card Club in March
This next one I designed using that same mini flower design. I popped up the frame with foam strips which are a little thicker than regular dimensionals but the floral rectangle is popped up with regular dimensionals. I colored the DSP with Pool Party and my sponge roller. ( a regular sponge will work too)
Inside:
When I cut out the Copper Foil Frame...
I ended up with some copper foil stitched rectangles so I designed this next card using the hash mark design. (not sure what to call it) Tip: when cutting out frames use some washi tape to hold the two dies together.
The flower is from Floral Essence, heat embossed with copper, and colored in with Rococo Rose. The flower is stamped twice and popped up for dimension, the center is also heat embossed with copper and punched out with the circle from the Owl builder punch - it's what fit best!! Use what you have - right?!!
Inside:
I hope these help you to find inspiration on how to use not only your Flowering Foils DSP, but any DSP that you have sitting around collecting dust.  With all this extra time we seem mohave on our hands, it is the perfect time to work on those creative projects that you may have put on the back burner.

Team Shares

Thursday, April 2, 2020
I encouraged my team to share what they have been doing during our mandatory shut down.
Anna sent this card, and she said she is enjoying crafting more while cooped up at home. This is her first Z-Fold card.
Chris sent this card using the Best Catch stamp set
She calls it a Bendy Fold or a Bendi fold
She said it is nice being able to spend more time making cards (and this one is super cool)
Barb shared this card that she made at one of Sue's classes - both Barb and Sue are a part of Christi's Creative Crew.

Both of these gals tried something new and that makes me so very happy as a team leader.

Layered With Kindness Parisian Birthday Card

Wednesday, April 1, 2020
April 1st, 2020! We are still in mandatory lock down to fight the Corona Virus.
I hope you all are safe and sound, and that you are staying healthy.
We, personally, are doing very well. Dale has continued to work steadily at church, keeping it clean and doing the preventative maintenance on the building. However he spends most of his days alone which is crazy in this large building.
I love being home and yet just knowing that I cannot get out if I want to makes it harder. And knowing that I have no one coming in to stamp with me just plain makes me sad.
This is where you all come in...
Every purchase you make through me whether by contacting me or by purchasing through my on line store all helps to support my small business.  You can see all the details below.
Please use this new Hostess Code when placing your on line order.

This gorgeous designer paper is a part of the PARISIAN BLOSSOMS SPECIALTY DESIGNER PAPER PACK.  In fact, this particular print used on today's card is my favorite from this pack
Giving Credit where credit is due: this card was inspired by Diane Dimich

  • Parisian Blooms Specialty Designer Series Paper: 2” x 3-7/8”
