Sentimental Sunday

Last June my dear friend, Rachel, said her last good-byes to her mom after a six month battle with cancer.  Our friend Marla and I purchased a yellow rose bush for Rachel to plant in her yard as a memory for her mother.  Our prayer is that it will bring her joy each time this pretty rose bush blooms.

And this is the card that I made to go with it.

I used the same layout that I used for this card from a COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY CLASS, but I wanted it to coordinate with the yellow rose bush we bought Rachel.  I also used the NEW cotton ribbon!  SWEET RIBBON!

Calling All Heroes

When this NEW Photopolymer stamp set came out called CALLING ALL HEROES, I wasn't sure I was going to buy it because I am more of a Superman Hero kind of girl, but our (former-sigh) Youth Pastor has taken a call to a ministry in the Chicago area, and I thought that the city sky line could be any big city like Chicago or New York, etc.  It has only been a month or so but I miss seeing them around church so I decided to play with my new stamp set as soon as it arrived.  I took some tips from Stampin' Connection but this is truly my own design.

BUT - while I was on Stampin' Connection I did see these two other designs and since I was playing with my CALLING ALL HEROES stamp set I thought I should just make up some extras for the store and for my own card sending.  Hoping my little nephews will like the super hero theme to their birthday cards.
This first one was inspired by Kathya Hidalgo

And this one was inspired by Justin Krieger

I love the photopolymer stamps, they are so easy to align perfectly when using alphabet and number stamps.  You can get your very own CALLING ALL HEREOS stamp set by clicking HERE.  And remember for every order of $35 or more (until July 30th) I am giving you FREE SHIPPING as my thank you for helping me to achieve the Washington DC trip.  If you place your order on line I will reimburse you the price of the shipping as this special offer is through me ONLY.

Here are the cards that are out today for the COME STAMP WITH ME class.  My craft room is open from 10 am to 5 pm so come when you can and leave when you must.  Only $1.50 per card you choose to make.

These beautiful cards were inspired by Mary (?) as seen on LeeAnn Greff's blog, Carrie Rhoades, Jennifer Burns, and Pinterest.  Thanks ladies!!

These are the cards that will be out for you to make... Mother's Day is creeping up on us SOON - like this coming Sunday so I have a card designated for Mother - but if you do not need a Mother's Day card, you know I have a ton of stamps and you can choose whichever sentiment works best for your card sending needs.  Although the card with the ship says HAPPY BIRTHDAY, it too, can have the words changed up in case you might want a Father's Day card for example.

BONUS!!  for everyone who comes to make at least one card you get to make one of these cute 3x3 cards (one per customer please). These are great little cards to put with a gift or if you like to send lunch box notes to your kids.

Ok to give credit where credit is due I was inspired by these amazing Stampin' Up! Demonstrators: Glenda Calkins, Stampin' Connection, LeeAnn Greff, France Martin and the 3x3: Nikki Spencer

See you all soon!

New Jersey Workshop

What am I doing in New Jersey?  Besides spending quality time with my sister, that is?
Lynette was so sweet to set up a group of ladies who love to stamp - in fact they meet once a month to stamp cards together - and arranged a Workshop for me to do with them.

These are the cards that they made on Wednesday...

I had attended a card class at my fellow Red Hot Stamper's Sara Hoogendoorn and thought the Cherry Cobbler card would be a great one to take with as it didn't need a lot of ink and so forth.  Same thing for the Coastal Cabana Card except I switched this one up just a bit.  The Sympathy card was inspired by LeeAnn Greff and I thought it would be great to feature some of our BEST OF stamps.  It uses the BEST OF BUTTERFLIES #133345 $14.95 and PAPILLION  POTPOURRI #123759 $14.95 for the butterflies and BEST OF GREETINGS #133485 $14.95

No better way to travel than to be able to pack your suitcase full of Stampin' Up! products!!

I am so thankful to have the chance to meet new ladies who share the love of stamping like I do.

Thanks for stopping by!
