Are You A Cat Person or a Dog Person?

Are you a cat person or a dog person?

I'm sure you all know by now that I am a dog person, but we have our fair share of cats as pets too.

The PAMPERED PETS Designer Paper is retiring in just a few short days and these cards are so dang cute!

This first card was inspired by Tracie - I just love all these layers using the Stitched Rectangle Dies and the Painted Poppies Dies

This one was just too funny to not make one for my friend who has 2 cats. Their family is definitely a cat family. I used the PLAYFUL ALPHABET DIES, mounted on some of our foam sheets. It was inspired by Ann
Cat card #3 was inspired by Debra Harrison
And this last cat card was inspired by Lorraine Lowe
Now on to some super cute puppy cards

Card Inspired by Ann Murray

This next card was also inspired by Ann Murray. I just love the addition of the BUFFALO CHECK back ground stamp. Which, BTW - is RETIRING!! This is one stamp that really shocked me that was retiring.
This final pup card was inspired by France Martin
Today our puppies are 8 weeks old and are ready to go to their forever homes
Trying to get all five remotely in decent photo was challenging to say the least.  There's not a whole lot of sit in them these days.

Dressed To Impress

Thursday, April 29, 2021

My craft room is completely painted! And I love it!!

My hubby has worked so very hard, but today he goes back to work so all the last minute details (like hanging stuff back up on the wall, etc) will have to wait to work on during an evening or over the weekend.

Once my work station was cleaned off and all my stamps put back in place, I decided to finish up some projects. I started with the DRESSED TO IMPRESS stamp set and the Designer Paper that came out when the stamp set was launched. I'm afraid that the Designer Paper is not current, but perhaps you picked some up when it was - Dressed To Impress Stamp Set IS in the New Annual Catalog.

The purses on this first card were cut from some of the designer paper, The Happy Birthday is from NEW WONDER (R) and the tag is one of our NEW tags dies set called TAILOR MADE TAGS - these will be so handy for card making and treats

INSIDE:

Happy Birthday on this next card is from PEACEFUL MOMENTS

The sentiment on this next card is from CELEBRATE SUNFLOWERS
The Alphabet die set on this next card is called HAND LETTERED PROSE (R). I stamped the flower image using Versa Mark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. After the letters were cut out, I popped them up using Foam Adhesive Strips.

I definitely cased some super talented demos

Sneak Peek

Wednesday, April 28, 2021

Stampin' Up! had a virtual event recently called OnTour. For those of us who signed up and bought in - we were given this cool stamp set called ETCHED IN NATURE. We were encouraged to make up some samples to share with others during the virtual event.

Knowing that my craft room was going to be torn apart to paint, I thought I had better work on my samples right away, or I know that it would never get done.

I've been wanting to give this technique a try and I love how it turned out.

I also wanted to use all current product that will be in the new annual catalog and since the IN GOOD TASTE Designer Paper is a carry-over, it was a perfect match

I also wanted to used every stamp in the set, not just the focal stamps
This next one is a Mini Bendy Card - The disclaimer is that this grassy die from FRIENDLY SILHOUETTES is on the LAST CHANCE LIST.
How in the world did I decide what to make? I pulled out a bunch of sketch layouts and adapted it to this stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed these samples, and I hope you are looking forward to the new catalog coming out NEXT WEEK!!
But don't forget to take advantage of the LAST CHANCE LIST and the CLEARANCE RACK

What a MESS!

Monday, April 26, 2021

What a MESS!

We are in the process of painting and refreshing the craft room.

A little fresh paint in Dale's store and the small bathroom downstairs.

There's been a bit of a shift in plans when Dale came down with Covid and I followed two days later.

NOTHING got done for a few days, but as strength gradually returned he was able to do some half hour time slots. My sister and brother-in-law were supposed to arrive today to help with the painting, but they decided to play it safe and not come. Can't say as that I blame them even though my sister has already had the virus and they both have been vaccinated. After coming to help us they are heading to New York to see their youngest son, and this is really what cinched their plans because New York is super fussy AND my nephew is a doctor. I'm sure I would have made the same decision.

I'm not getting much stamping done with not feeling well and my room being torn apart.

I do want to remind you of the LAST CHANCE LIST. You only have until May 3 to order those products that are leaving forever. While you are there, please check out the items on the CLEARANCE RACK.

Playing With Patterns

Friday, April 23, 2021

Today I am featuring the PLAYING WITH PATTERNS Designer Series Paper

I had only 6 - 6x6 pieces of this patterned paper left so wanted to see what I could do with the remaining pieces.

I started with this pattern... it has the maize & blue colors of our Hudsonville Eagles so I went towards a graduation card.

The Grad hat die is a non-Stampin' Up! die - please forgive, but I love it and it fits the bill for as many grad cards as I make for the stores, etc.

I had a small piece left over so made this version
Next pattern I played with...actually I used 2 patterns for this card and the sprigs are from Celebrate Sunflowers Dies as well as the sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set. (in fact I used the "Let's Celebrate You" on the inside of many of the grad cards that I make.
Colors: Misty Moonlight, Purple Posy, Bumblebee. Please be aware that the Purple Posy in-color is retiring, so if you love it, grab it! Check out the links below. Card inspired by Jeanette Hunter
This next one is a fun card - I like the scattered dots of varied sizes and colors vs the ones above where they are in a row.
I was inspired by Susan Smith
I changed up how the goat was attached to the card - Susan stamped hers directly onto the DSP and that just did not sit well with me so I stamped him on Basic White Card Stock, colored in with my Stampin' Blends, and fussy cut him out, popping him up with dimensionals.
WAY TO GOAT stamp set is returning to the New Annual Catalog, but this paper is NOT.
This next one ended up being my favorite
I've always got puppies on the brain and I like to send cards to Lucy's pups for their first birthdays
those birthday's will be coming up this summer so I thought that I would get a head start. I was inspired by Debbie Mageed, and changed up the type of dog. She used the Pampered Pets doggy, but the Bella & Friends doggy matches Lucy's pups better. Little Fonzie was brown with white
I had a little strip of this paper left so made this one...
This layout was fun and was inspired by Tami Hewlett
Tami made her layout with the cute kangaroos, but, like I said, I have puppies on the brain!
Little Cosie was our all brown pup
The last piece of Designer Paper I had on hand was this stripe
I was able to get 4 cards from one 6x6 sheet. The night of navy dots pattern is the backside of the stripe paper. Chachi was our black and white pup. Lola, Joey & Bentley were all brown and white with varying shades of white vs brown.
Which card was your favorite?

Thursday, April 22, 2021

Only 12 more days to take advantage of the LAST CHANCE LIST!

Don't miss out on products that you will wish you had.

Today I will feature some of the fabulous Designer Papers that is retiring as of May 4th and then they will be gone forever.

This first card was inspired by Lisa Curcio and the Ice Cream Corner DSP is so cool! (pardon my pun)

The Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set and Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch are both RETURNING! YEAH! but the paper is not.

Only a 1" x 6" piece of Designer Paper is used on this particular card, but I just love it!
And...it makes me want to buzz out for a triple decker ice cream cone!!
Some more samples using the Designer Paper
inspired by Sandy Hancock
Inspired by Maneswari Rajaguru
Inspired by Kelly Irwin

Inspired by Patty Bennett
