You're HOW Old?
Thursday, September 4, 2014
When the gals pre pay for a class I try to have a small symbol of my appreciation for them. At the punch art class last week I gave each one of them this punch art card inspired by a card I saw on Stampin' Connection but failed to document the original artist. If it is you please let me know so I can give you the credit you deserve.
I made some with Whisper White and some with Very Vanilla. Which one do you like best?
Want to get in on some special treats? Pay in advance for your class or place a $25 or more order and you will receive something special too. Below you will see the products I used.

Miss You Already...
Wednesday, July 23, 2014
Any Gramma would miss her grand kids when she goes away, and I am no exception. I get to see Tyler and Gracie on a regular basis so when I am gone they are always in my thoughts. Now we have sweet Sawyer and the thought of not getting in any cuddles for a week was painful. We popped over to get some cuddles and to get these pictures of the three of them together so I could have one to put beside my bed.
We made sure to visit when Sawyer had his awake time and it was so fun to be able to see his eyes and how he would look around when someone would talk to him. He is a very strong baby with his neck and back and such a pleasure to hold - it was hard to hand him back to mommy.
And this is the card that I made and sent to them the day I left.
I cased this one from Nikki Spencer. I thought the little monsters were adorable and it gave me a chance to use my fun Owl Builder Punch.
Stamps: Just Sayin', Gorgeous Grunge
Colors: Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, and Crushed Curry.
The little teeth were just hand snipped from a scrap piece of Whisper White

You're Invited

Last night at church we honored our youth pastor for his years of service to our church as he and his family took a call to a church planting ministry in Chicago. We will miss this family so very much! He has been a great youth pastor, mentor and friend to our youth with out-reaching effects. Under his direction we have seen several of our young men and women choose to go into the ministry. We couldn't be more proud of him. His wife and children also have been a HUGE compliment and help in everything. WE WILL MISS YOU CHRIS, KRISTI, ERIN, MICAH, EMMA, and MAGGIE!!
After the service honoring our 2014 graduates we held a big party for them and I was very honored to be asked to make a special card for their invitation. They were making general invitations for the congregation, but they wanted something special just for them. I followed a sketch by Laura Laures to make this card for them
I used three different stamp sets: Happy Hour, Hip Notes, Just Sayin' and a non-SU stamp for the You're Invited. Colors used are: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry, Real Red, Gumball Green and Daffodil Delight.

COME STAMP WITH ME!
Tuesday, April 29, 2014
Today is Tuesday and time to COME STAMP WITH ME! These are the cards that will be out for you to make. Can you see a theme here? Three of the cards are using the Hexagon Hive Thinlit Die and three of the cards are using the (now retired) Backyard Basics Stamp Set and Framelits. These cards were inspired by Dianne Sisneros, Ilina Crouse, Lynn Starzl, and Jen Timko. I love the feeling of Springtime that these cards have - they just make me smile.
There is no need to RSVP - this is "open house" style so come when you can and leave when you must. My craft room will be open from 10 am to 5 pm and you can make as many or as few as you want for only $1.50 each. I will tell you, though, that my Tuesday class has been a HUGE hit and for the past three weeks I ran out of cards. I am so very thankful for all the ladies who come to stamp with me.

Jitter Monkey
Saturday, February 22, 2014
The story goes like this...
When my dad was a teenager there was a comic strip in the newspaper about a monkey named Jitter. His buddies all thought that my dad resembled this Jitter Monkey (nice friends, right!) and therefore started calling him Jitter. It stuck!
My dad loved to draw this monkey every so often and tell his story, because who else do you know with a nickname of Jitter?
After playing with the UNDEFINED Stamp Kit at Leadership I knew I was going to make up a stamp with my dad's Jitter Monkey on it. I wanted to save a piece of something that is very dear to us.
YOU can do this too, and make a one-of-a-kind stamp. UNDEFINED only costs $19.95 for the Carving Kit (#133402) which comes with 2 carving tools, 3"x4" rubber, 3"x4" foam, 4 wood blocks (various sizes), 1 Island Indigo Marker, 3 Postcards, Instruction Sheet, Stamp image templates
The REFILL KIT (#134808) only costs $9.95 and includes 3"x4" rubber, 3"x4" foam, 4 wood blocks (various sizes) and an instruction sheet.
If you want to make your one-of-a-kind-stamp into a clear mount stamp you can purchase the CLEAR MOUNT CLING FOAM for only $10.95 (#124236). this comes with 2 pages of Cling Foam. I love this stuff because I can take my Stampin' Wheels and turn them into a clear mount stamp. No more crooked lines for me!!
Just think you can make one of your child's drawing creations into a personal stamp that you can keep FOREVER!!

Not sure what I will do with this stamp but I most certainly will treasure it FOREVER! I made up a card that I can give to him on his next birthday. I used a color and layout design by Linda Heller.
