These are the Easter treats that I made for the family this year.  We were blessed to have everyone home for Easter dinner again this year
The cutest little Easter bunny baskets made using the Berry Basket Die. (thanks Diana Gibbs for the inspiration) Tyler and Gracie are getting so big that gift cards were the big idea for them this year.  I didn't want to fill the baskets completely of candy but there definitely is still some in there.  Sawyer, of course, is too little to start all the sweets, but he is starting to hand feed himself so I thought the container of banana flavored puffs were perfect along with some socks and a polo onesie.
These treats are for my daughters.  Melissa and Julie like Reeses Peanut Butter Cups while Jessica will indulge occasionally in Cocoa Nibs.  The butterflies were cut from the Painted Blooms Designer Paper.
The guys each got a bag filled with a mix of chocolate.

Refuge and Strength

Tuesday, September 23, 2014
Recently we have had need to send out way too many sympathy cards and my stash was super low especially for ones that would be masculine enough so one night I went to work and focused on Sympathy Cards - all the time praying for my friends and family who are grieving.
This card I made using a graduating sponging.  I used it on a workshop card (different colors, different theme), but love the simpleness of it all so decided to try it using my REFUGE AND STRENGTH (retired) stamp set.  I needed some bigger/bolder words for the sentiment so went with a non-Stampin' Up! (sorry) one that I keep on hand.  The grass at the base of the card is from a single stamp I snagged off the Red Hot Stamper garage sale and I'm glad I did because it worked out perfectly.

Sad

Saturday, January 14, 2012
Today our Pastor of Worship and Fine Arts will say his final good bye to his beloved father. As much as I enjoy making cards I really do not relish the reason for having to make sympathy cards. I was very depleted in my Sympathy Cards so spent one day working on a variety.
That way I can send a different one to each family member.

This is the only one I had on hand...
Sorry, I can't remember who I got this layout from, but I made it over the
Christmas holiday when I was borrowing my friend Sue's stamp set.

SS: A Beautiful Season, Blessings From Heaven

And these are the ones that I made that day for the others...
This card was inspired by CJ

SS: Refuge and Strength, Weathered background, Non SU words

This next one was inspired by Glenda Calkins, my up line demo and head of
the RED HOT STAMPERS!!

SS: Thanks For Caring

Thanks For Stopping By!

Have a Blessed Day!!

Coast To Coast

Saturday, February 5, 2011
Thanks to Split Coast Stampers Web sight, and all the talented ladies who submit their card creations, I was able to load up on a bunch of masculine cards using the Coast to Coast Stamp Set. I borrowed this set from a friend (Thanks Marlane!!) but then decided it was a good one to have on hand so found a retired one on EBay.

I won't bore you with all the MENU's for each card, you can probably figure it out by looking at them, but if you have any questions just drop me a note and I will do my best to help you out.

I like this one - very neutral and no coloring

This one took some coloring. I used markers as well as watercolor pencils and an Aqua painter.

This card was done using Stampin' Pastels (chalks)

Some were for birthday's and some were generic, but this one is intended as a sympathy card. How appropriate to use the lighthouse as a symbol of the Guiding Light that we have in Christ who guides our steps each day, and during difficult times He holds us up and walks with us. Sadly we did have someone pass away this past week and will be attending her viewing today. We was a great mentor to me with my cake decorating. She very willingly gave me how-to tips when I asked and was always ready to loan out her cake pans when I needed something - in fact, she gave me MANY of her cake pans when she became ill and could no longer make cakes for her friends and family. Thanks Jan - you will be missed!!

Another Good-Bye

Friday, September 3, 2010

This past week my sweet and gentle Auntie passed from this life and is now singing and enjoying the company of our Lord Jesus. She is now free from the pain, and since we have this hope we know we will see her again.

This is the most recent Sympathy card that I made so I thought I would share it with you.

What to do on a rainy day

Thursday, June 24, 2010
Yesterday was a bit on the not-so-nice weather day.   Thankfully I was down in numbers for kids so activities stayed a bit more quiet.  So what do you do with a 6 year old girl who LOVES to do crafts but does everything so FAST that you can’t keep up with her?  I pulled out a retired Card Elements Kit and let her go at it.

I “walked her through” the first three cards and then let her create to her hearts content.  Little sister helped and even did some stamping too.  Then I let them use my punches.  You know how much I love to create things with the punches!!  Well, I didn’t even have to give her any tips she came up with this little person all on her own.  I think I see a future Red Hot Stamper in the making!!

Charlie was his normal happy self and loved all the attention the big girls gave him.  How can you not LOVE this happy smile!!
