Cards From Friends

This past week I received this sweet card with an extra special bonus...

A Pillsbury Doughboy stuffy!!

 

Isn't he just the sweetest!! Now I have a new friend to help when I am baking up goodies for my Tuesday Stampers.

The doughboy craze started when I did some baking, and remembered how my friend, Christi Wroe, had this cute Doughboy with her in all her beautiful photos when she baked (she is an excellent baker and works for a bakery in PA)

I looked for a doughboy online, but they were so expensive that I opted for a little Snoopy and he helped me make these yummy treats

When I mentioned on FaceBook about my friend Christi, and her doughboy, I had another sweet friend and fellow stamper, Gina, bring me these adorable Mr & Mrs Doughboy Salt & Pepper Shakers

Within a couple weeks I got a surprise in the mail from my friend, Christi, in PA - she said she found this at an antiques store and bought him for me

The doughboy trio are great helpers in the kitchen

Fast forward to this past Sunday when a friend from church remembered my FaceBook posts and when she found this little stuffy she immediately thought of me.

And, look! a hand stamped card to boot!! It really took me by surprise

Dough Boy Jr helped in the kitchen to make some Crumble Cookie ROLO Cookies knock-off's 

Of course I had to make a special card to thank her

Translucent Florals

 TRANSLUCENT FLORAL is a stamp set (and dies) that are carried over to the new annual catalog!

However, the background on the card base was stamped using NOTES OF NATURE Stamp Set. I love how you can use your stamps to create your own designer paper.

Just Kiddin'

Just Kiddin' - but not really kidding around 

The adorable Just Kiddin' Designer Paper is on the Last Chance List

The good news is that you will still be able to get the KIDDIN' AROUND stamp set and dies in the new annual catalog.

Here are some fun cards using only the paper (not the stamp set)

Card #1 I used the sentiment from CHEERFUL DAISIES

My little grands love to get books from the library, so I especially liked the cards that dealt with that. I used an OLD Stampin' Up! set called REMEMBERING YOUR BIRTHDAY

This next card is extra large - In fact I made the front larger than the base by just a bit - but I love it. I will need to make my own envelope, for sure, to send this card - but I'm guessing it will be hand delivered to one of my grandkids

I couldn't decide what sentiment I wanted for this next card so I'm leaving it blank and will add a sentiment to the outside or maybe just the inside when it fits the occasion.
