Cute As A Bug for Valentine's Day

We are having a wintery week here in Michigan, and my Come Stamp With Me Tuesday class needs to be canceled.

What does one do on a blustery day? *said Pooh*!!

This stamper decided to spend a day playing with SWEET BUGS.

Actually, I played with the CUTE AS A BUG Designer Paper since I have not purchased the stamp set.

This is the BUNDLE (#161002)

I was drawn to this because our son, Jeff, is a "bug man." An ORKIN technician for 20 years now.

I started with a Valentine card for each of our youngest grandsons (Liam & Oliver)

This first card is for (4 yo) Oliver was inspired by Su Mohr.

What I changed up: the Daffodil Delight flowers - Since I did not purchase the stamp set, I had to make do with what I had on hand. I chose a couple retired flower shaped punches, and punched out some Daffodil Delight card stock then embossed them with an embossing folder (any would do). The wreath is from ENDURING LOVE.

The Designer Paper is in the Cloud Cover In Color 6x6 pack.

This second card is for (5 yo) Liam. Liam loves to read his books so I chose this one for him that was inspired by Sharon.

The designer paper comes from MADE WiTH LOVE,n and I cut the little hearts out for the book from ENDLESS LOVE. Everything else was fussy cut out from the CUTE AS A BUG designer paper. The sentiment comes from SWEET JAR.

PETALS OF BEAUTY BUNDLE is a new product that came out this month.

What gorgeous Designer Paper!!

Colors for the flowers:

Petal Pink with flirty Flamingo & a Calypso Coral center

Lemon Lolly with a Crushed Curry center

Old Olive with Mossy Meadow leaves

This card was inspired by Patty Bennett

What I changed up: I pulled out a retired stamp set for the sentiment.

A second card using Petals of Beauty

I love this fun fold - the sentiment hold the right flap shut.

This third card is a stack, cut & shuffle style card

I was inspired by Lisa Freeman, but my sections are cut different than hers.

Prairie Grass

Today's card features not only the PRAIRIE GRASS Stamp Set, but it also features the BEAUTIFUL GALLERY 6x6 DSP

I love the soft side of this designer paper. The opposite side is a little bold for my liking, but I have used this back side many times.

I cut a rectangle from the center of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece, then embossed it with the DAMASK Embossing Folder. I stamped the Prairie Grass stamp and sentiment in Mossy Meadow then backed it with Mossy Meadow card stock, and popped it up with Dimensionals. Three little Flower Motifs added in the corner and done! Easy card for my Tuesday stampers. The sentiment comes from the BEAUTIFUL MOTIFS stamp set

This card was inspired by Glenda Calkins

All For Baby

Yesterday I featured a wedding card and today is a baby card.

Today's card features a new designer paper called Brushed with Beauty. This card layout was inspired by Alison

What I changed up: the designer paper - I loved the print she used but I didn't have that so had to pivot and I loved this print from Brushed With Love.

I also pulled out one of my favorite stamp sets that are retired, All For Baby.

Colors: Crumb Cake & Basic White

I did pull out some heavier twine for the "clothesline" that I got at the local fabric store.

Everyday Arches Wedding Card

What will 2026 bring?

I know that we have 2 weddings to go to (that I know of so far) so I was thrilled to see this beautiful card created by Maddie Dunster on our demonstrator Facebook page. There were no instructions or links as to how to make this card so I had to figure out the how-to by myself. Not too hard since I have made this style before more than once.

Colors: Mossy Meadow & Basic White with some Vellum

Dies: Everyday Arches & Linked Together

Stamps: Beautiful Motifs & a long retired wood stamp for the sentiment. (some of these I just cannot let go)

Embossing: Distressed Tile

There was a lot of prep work to put kits together for my Tuesday stampers, but this card was a big hit - just needed to be sure to save a couple for my upcoming weddings.
