Birthday Celebration

Today's cards are made using the BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Bundle and the Wildflower Birthday Designer Paper.

I fussy cut the little three tier cakes from one of the designer paper patterns

And don't you just love that Gold Open Weave Trim?

The embossing folder is called Starburst - it was a free item during Sale a bration - did you get yours?

Card #2 is considered a floating card using some Window Sheets. - The balloon is one of the ephemera pieces that come with the designer paper pack. This is a great way to use up your 1/2" strips.

How to make a Floating Card - add strips (mine are 1/2" wide) to some Window Sheets leaving a small space between each strip, then cut out using the die of your choice. I used Stylish Shapes - the largest circle.

It was inspired by Linda Dalke - one of our Australian Demonstrators. HERE

Card #3 - the cupcake and the tassels are also a part of the ephemera sheet that comes with the Designer Paper. - I changed up the sentiment using the happy birthday from YEAR of FLOWERS, and it was also heat embossed with gold.

The embossing folder is called FOREVER PLAID

Card #4 is using the other section of tassels that I trimmed off for the previous card, and was inspired by Stamping Beauty (no blog link)

I changed up the "Happy Birthday" using Friends For Life for the "Happy" and Biggest Wish (retired) for the "birthday." These were both heat embossed with gold.

The embossing folder is called Distressed Tiles

On each of these cards I used the Party Dots embellishments.

Under The Moon

This card was made using the COUNTRY WOODS Designer Paper...

And was inspired by Terri A, on Pinterest, but there is no blog post to direct you to.

It was easy enough to CASE, using the COUNTRYSIDE Dies for a layer of Basic White to stamp your images on, and a partial layer of Night of Navy using the same size die (second from the largest).

The Happy Birthday sentiment from FRIENDS FOR LIFE was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink and die cut with the smallest die from the COUNTRYSIDE DIE set, but I did shorten it by lining it up again and running it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

For the nautical knot, I did my best by tying 4 strands of Linen thread together.

Ink colors used: Misty Moonlight for the water (and then I used a blending pen to blend it all for a smooth look), Peach Pie for the moon, Balmy Blue for the clouds that I stamped off for a softer shade of blue. The little sailboat was stamped with Memento Black.

The card base is 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4" in Basic Beige.

Great American Stamping Cruise Swap Cards Part 5

Great American Stamping Cruise Swap Cards Part 5

This is my final post sharing the cards that I received on our Alaskan Cruise

Card #1 was created by Sam Malone from Florida (who said it was cased from Patty Bennett) She also gave everyone one of these cute pinchers to hold our paper when we are heat embossing.

Sam was one of the gals that sat at our dinner table each night. We ended up bonding with everyone as we enjoyed dinner each night together.

#2 is not a card but two 4th treats. They were created by Valerie Broomfield. Valerie was one of the gals that sat at our dinner table each night. She and her husband Andrew are from Scotland. She said that the treat on the right is their family tartan plaid, and she added a pin of their family crest. When she introduced herself and shared what she made, I thought it was so cute when she said that the treat on the left had "a little spot of tea inside" She used the LATTE LOVE stamp set and the coordinating designer Paper

Card #3 was created by Pam Brooks. Pam used the UNBOUNDED LOVE Bundle and the UNBOUNDED BEAUTY Designer Paper.

Card #4 was created by Erin Russell from Kentucky. Erin used the little bird from COUNTRY BIRDHOUSE and the UNBOUNDED BEAUTY Designer Paper. The fun circle was cut from SPOTLIGHT ON NATURE

Card #5 was created by Rachel Palmieri. She used THOUGHTFUL MOMENTS Bundle for the "Hello". It looks as though she colored the front of her card with ink pads swiping.

Card #6 was created by Cheryl Holden. She used the COUNTRY LACE Designer Paper. Not sure what stamp set the flowers are from.

Last but not least is this card created by Candice Anderson.

Candice captured the beauty of the northern lights in her card and she used the FRIENDS FOR LIFE heart dies and the ENCIRCLED IN NATURE Bundle. She also embossed the inside piece (under the shaker pieces) with the SWIRLY Embossing Folder.

We ended up having a contest of all the swap cards and this is the card that won the whole thing!! I'm sure you can see why.

Five more swap cards I received on our Alaskan Cruise.

Card #3 was made by Sharyn Bouck. Sharyn was another one of my table-mates in our craft room. She used The SEASIDE WISHES Bundle.

Card #4 was made by Sacha Wilson. She used the FULL OF LIFE DSP with the FRIENDS FOR LIFE Stamp Set

Card #5 was made by Jenna Carr. She used my favorite COUNTRY WOODS DSP
