The THOUGHTFUL JOURNEY Designer Paper is so very pretty, and I had a ton of it on hand when I learned that Stampin' Up! was returning it to the Annual Catalog 

It makes such quick and easy cards like these.

Not sure who the originator is for either of these cards is, but I am loving them both.

Peaceful Garden

What a stunning Christmas card using the PEACE ON EARTH stamp set/bundle and the PEACEFUL GARDEN 12x12 Designer Paper.

This card was inspired by Judy May

Judy said: For the centerpiece, I have cut the doves using the second largest square die from the nesting set in the Stylish shapes dies. It was positioned ‘on point’ or as a diamond shape, which reflects the shape in the background paper. My tip: position the die on the paper and then trace around it, so you can neatly cut it out and then crop it with the die. I found this out the hard way, thinking I could ‘eyeball’ it and then cut it too small. Because the paper is dark, I used a white gel pen for tracing. I trimmed the diamond with Cloud Cover Glimmer for yet more sparkle!

My notes: Because liquid glue or just "regular" adhesive doesn't always adhere well to the Glimmer Paper, I used my Seal Adhesive which seems to hold up perfectly. I popped up the diamond shape with Stampin' Dimensionals.

These are the measurements that I used (on a base 5-1/2" x 4-1/4) The star paper are 1" strips, the diamond shape patterned paper is 2-1/2" wide and the Glimmer strips are 1/2". another strip of the star paper inside is 3/4" wide.

Friendly Foliage

Today's card features a new product called FRIENDLY FOLIAGE 

It also features the new designer paper called BRUSHED WITH BEAUTY

Super pretty card inspired by Melissa

To make the card

• Begin with a 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” piece of Very Vanilla card stock, score and fold at 4-1/4” to form your card base.
• Adhere a 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” piece of Brushed with Beauty DSP to the card base. Then, adhere another piece in a different design, measuring 1-1/4” x 5-1/2” towards the left side.
• Stamp the floral image on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using Calypso Coral ink.
• Cut the image out with the dies, as well as the following: a rectangle with the 3rd largest die in Very Vanilla and a rectangle with the smallest die in Crumb Cake using the Textured Notes dies, and a circle in Very Vanilla card stock with the 2nd smallest die using the Stylish Shapes dies.
• Adhere the circle to the bottom-left corner of the large rectangle and attach them to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Attach the floral image on top of the rectangle using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Stamp your sentiment on the Crumb Cake rectangle using Crumb Cake ink.
• Adhere the sentiment to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Hold two pieces of Old Olive Linen Thread together, tie a bow, trim the ends, and attach it to the circle using a Mini Glue Dot.
• Attach two Low-Profile Sparkle Dots as shown.

A Child Is Born

When the new publications come out, whether they are in print form or if they are in the online exclusives, I make sure to purchase the faith based stamp set. Wishing they had a bit more, especially in the word phrasing for the inside of your card, but I am loving the A CHILD IS BORN stamp set. (also wishing that it had dies to cut out all the pieces)

Since fussy-cutting is my super power, I don't mind doing a bit of cutting, and I even do quite a bit for my Tuesday stampers too.

To have the Baby Jesus be in the manger instead of in Mary's arms I simply use an Exacto knife to cut the slit in the straw area and slide him in there. 

What did I use?

Base: Crumb Cake 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4

Layers: Basic White 4 x 5-1/4 embossed with (the one that was free during Sale a bration 2025)

Night of Navy two-toned card stock embossed with the snowflake embossing folder (retired)

The Deckled Circle (retired) was cut from the Winter Meadow DSP 

When I was making this card I totally was thinking that the Winter Meadow DSP was still current (so I apologize for so many retired products used) there is a similar print in the Peaceful Garden DSP, but I ran out, so used what I had on hand.

It ended up being a two-fer, because the 4" strips on the edge of the 12x12 DSP had these deer on it. I was pretty excited that I never wasted a single piece of that paper.

I colored in the Black & Vanilla Check Ribbon with a Stampin' Blend. I chose Summer Splash, but was wishing that I had used Lost Lagoon.

The stamp set is Something Fancy (which includes the die I used to cut it out)

Two layers of Deckled Rectangles - one of DSP and one of Basic Black.
