Fun Fold Cross Card

Today's Easter card features a great fun fold displaying the real reason for Easter, that Jesus came to die for our sins. I am forever grateful!!

I chose to use the LOVELY GARDEN Designer Paper. I didn't realize when I chose this paper that it had retired. It can be so hard to keep on top of what is retired.

Speaking of retired, The little butterfly is from BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES Dies and the "Easter Blessings" is from DAFFODIL DAYDREAMS.

I patterned this card after the directions from Terri Gaines

Card Base: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2* score at 4-1/4" & 7-1/4*

Cardstock (same color as card base): 3-3/4* x 1-1/4" Designer Series Paper (for card): 2-3/4" x 5-1/4", 4" x 5-1/4" Designer Series Paper (for cross): 1-1/8* x 5-3/8*, 3-5/8* x 1-1/8*

Inside Sentiment Layer: 2-3/4" x 5-1/4* max size

Retiring In Colors 2024-2026

The colors that are retiring are: Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop, Peach Pie, Shy Shamrock, and Summer Splash (I’m going to miss these colors). Some stamp pads and card stock are in low inventory!

Each month, a single product of the month will be released. These items won’t be in any catalog or on the Online Exclusives page on the Stampin’ Up! website. Stock is limited, so once a Product of the Month sells out, it’s gone for good. Make sure if you like the Product of the Month, to snag your Product of the Month early!

Easter Basket

I have been focusing on making Easter Cards for my Tuesday Stampers as well as for those that I need to send out. I know that my stampers love the Faith based cards (and I do too), but I did want to have a mixture of Faith based and cutsie, Bunny rabbits and the like. I love the two new stamp sets that campout for Easter - BLESSED BEGINNINGS and EASTER BASKET. I'm also super glad that the FAITH COLLECTION stamp set and dies are still current which gives me a lot of variety to work with.

Today's card features the EASTER BASKET Bundle

And I am getting a lot of milage out of the EASTER JOY Specialty Paper.

This card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest, but no link to who created it.

My card actually measures 5-1/2" x 4" finished - to save on Designer Paper. 

I cut the second piece of designer paper at 3" x 4-1/4" layered onto a piece of Basic White that measures 3/16" larger.

I stamped one little carrot using two different inks: Shay Shamrock & Peach Pie. A single egg stamped with  Lemon Lolly and a trio of flowers in Pretty in Pink.

Nature Walk With Prayers & Promises

NATURE WALK Designer Paper is so gorgeous and this card features several of the prints in that 12x12 pack of paper 

This card also features one of my favorite stamp sets: PRAYERS & PROMISES.

The leaf sprig comes from PETALS OF BEAUTY 

I don't have a blog post to refer you to but it was inspired by Sarah Mauk a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Wisconsin.

I cut my sprig from Secret Sea card stock (not sure what Sarah used). This is a great layout that can be used with any designer paper and you would get a totally different look. Also a great way to use up your scraps.

Beautiful Gallery 6x6 Designer Paper Fun Fold

At our monthly team meetings we end our night with a Make & Take. Usually a card that features a fun fold, or sometimes using a new designer paper or product.

At our February team meeting I decided to show them how to make this card that was inspired by France Martin

Measurements

• Card Base 8 ½” x 5 ½” score at 4 ¼” OR 11″ x 4 ¼” score at 5 ½”.
• Layer to adhere the designer paper to 4 ⅛” x 5 ⅜.”
• Designer paper 6 x 6 cut at 5 ¼”, keep the ¾” for inside, will need to trim for the top or side. The remaining 5 ¼” x 6 cut 2 @ 1 ¾” x 5 ¼” and one at 2 ½” x 5 ¼”.
• I used the Beautiful Gallery 6x6 Designer Paper
• The "Hello" comes from the Thoughtful Moments 3D Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies
  
  What's great about the Hybrid Embossing Folders is that you can use it as a regular embossing folder, and you can use it to die cut the words out. I don't use it as much as I should, but everyone loved this card and a couple of my team members had already tried this fold.

Feathered Fun

FEATHERED FUN was one of those stamp sets that I for sure wanted to get right away when the annual catalog came out last May, and it has sat on my shelf and not gotten much use. How sad.  

But when I saw this slim line card by Stacey Marsh (who is/was on the 2025 Artisan Design Team) I knew that I wanted to make this card up for my friend, Jackie, who has a cockatoo named Squiggy. She will love all these cute little birdies on her birthday card this year.

A slim line card generally measures 8-1/2" x 7" scored at 3-1/2"

Stacey doesn't give any instructions so I used the little branches from LIFETIME OF LOVE (in Pecan Pie) and the leaves from LAYERS OF BEAUTY in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow.

The colors of Stampin' Blends that I used are: Tahitian Tide, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Timid Tiger & Highland Heather.

For the sentiment I pulled out the HANDMADE & HEARTFELT stamp set that came with a kit. (and is still available)
