At last months Red Hot Stamper meeting Glenda showed us how to make several other animals using the owl punch. Frog, Hippo, Cat, Penguin, Reindeer, Santa... these are the ones we made at our meeting, and she promised we would be making more in the future. Aren't they cute!
So the challenge she gave us was to make a scrapbook page using the owl punch.
First thing I thought of was the cute bride and groom owls that I used on this GIFT CARD HOLDER TIN. So I had to make it into a scrapbook page for Jeff and Jess' wedding photos
See the "bling" on the "I Do"? And check out the pretty (retired - sorry) Bride Designer paper...
Here is a close up on the owl bride and groom... they only have eyes for each other...
Then I got to thinking...maybe Glenda really wanted us to make our scrapbook page using one the ideas from the samples we made at our Red Hot Meeting, so I chose to make a page with the penguin...
I may have over done it with the Frost White Shimmer Paint, but I kind of like it. It looks like what I picture a winter night in Alaska would look like. Besides it will get covered up somewhat by photos.
And here is a close up of the cute little penguins having a snowball fight...
I can just picture some fun pictures of our grand kids on this page so I think I will have to give this page to our daughter Julie to put in one of their albums.
At our meeting/party we revealed who our Secret Santa was. This is me with Sarah - the sweet gal that I was Secret Santa to...
And this is me with Rachel who was my Secret Santa... I love all the fun gifts that she showered on me in the past month. Thank you so much Rachel!!!
Rachel is such a dear friend - just look at what she gave me for the reveal gift...
She even decorated the front of the envelope - how clever! Check out the yummy soup mixes - one is called Love Soup - Do I have to wait for Valentine's day to enjoy it? hmmm....
and check out the cute, cute, cute M&M Christmas Tree ornaments!!! Love it!!!
Glenda out did herself again by giving us a wonderfully fun night with the ladies. It was good to have some of the new recruits there and now they can see how much fun we have and how nutty we really are. Here we are playing some fun games
And as always - gifts for the winners...
the little gift box/bag/purse holds perfectly a small size Russell Stover Chocolate box...
Glenda gifted each of us with this cute bag - we made the tag at the beginning of the evening while we waited for everyone to show up, but had no clue why we needed it, but when she gave us the tote it all became clear. The note pad w/envelope set is for us to use at our meetings for taking notes and the tote bag is to use for meetings as well to carry all the supplies in that we need to bring along.
this is what the inside of the note pad looks like...
Super cute! all made from a file folder - sold by Stampin' Up! of course!!
Glenda honored all the gals who promoted during 2010 - AND... one was ME!! I promoted to Manager!!! Look at the great gift basket she put together for me.
SERIOUSLY!! - Check out the abundance of M&M's!!! Do these ladies know me or WHAT??!!
And here is a photo of the Red Hot Stampers group that you hear me talk about so much. Of course, not everyone could be there, but we sure do have a lot of fun when we are together.
So For Now...
Happy Stamping!!
