I love to make these fun flowers, and the NEW Cherry On Top Cotton Paper from Stampin' Up! makes up these flowers beautifully!
I filled up the 1x8 cello bags with bright colored M&M's and I thought that the Cucumber Crush and the Crushed Curry Colors in the pack fit the best with the color scheme (the other colors in the Cherry On Top Cotton Paper Pack are Bermuda Bay and Watermelon Wonder)
I used the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch to create these and I used 8 layers held together with a brad.
I added a Bitty Butterfly Punched out with the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper to give it a little "pop" of pretty (everything is prettier with a butterfly on it!!)
Can you see a difference in the 2 shades of yellow? The lighter yellow on the left was made using the leftover thick tissue paper from a past Paper Pumpkin kit. It works perfectly for making these flowers!!

Tye-Dyed Butterflies
Tuesday, July 28, 2015
I just had to give this card a try because I thought it was unique and fun. Probably a bit too detailed for a class because of all the butterfly cutting, but I still wanted to give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration Deb Valder!
I basically sponged a variety of colors from the Brights Collection onto a Whisper White card stock 3 5/8" x 4 7/8. then taking a second piece of Whisper White Card Stock the same size and cut out 3 partial butterflies and assemble. Viola`! Not hard but it is a lot of cutting of those butterflies when you need 3 per card.

Sentimental Sunday
Sunday, July 26, 2015
Today's Sentimental Sunday Post is for my friend, Laura, who recently had to say "good-bye" to her mom. It is always hard to loose a loved one, but I love how they made it a celebration, because that is exactly what it is. No more pain and suffering. Laura was our neighbor for several years and I was their child care provider for most of those years, loving every minute with those boys. It was handy living right next door to them and Little Joey would come over even when he wasn't in my care. He would hop up on the table and watch me when I decorated a cake asking me questions about what I was going to use each color frosting for. And then, of course, he got to sample them all. Hard to believe he is 15 years old already and big brother, Nick, (who was in 1st grade when he started coming to Auntie's house) is getting married in January. WOW! how time truly does fly!!
We purchased a pretty red rose bush for Laura to plant to remember her mom by.
And this is the card that I made for her. She loved the Calla Lilies from the REMARKABLE YOU Stamp Set. The Sympathy greeting is from the retired stamp set SIMPLY SKETCHED

Let's Go Fishing!
Saturday, July 25, 2015
Stampin' Up! issued a challenge to us demonstrators to use at least 2 of the following punches:
Sweetheart Punch, Heart Border Punch, Fun Flower Punch and the Pansy Punch. It was more of a drawing than a contest so my chances of winning was like drawing my name from a hat and I never do good with that, but it was fun to participate anyway. We had to upload our photos to Pinterest with #punchitup.
I made myself a little cheat sheet 8x8 for my Punch Art Album.

Another cute Dinosaur card using the NO BONES ABOUT IT Stamp Set
I love this flip style card especially for this cute dinosaur card! And don't you just love his little XRAY?!! The Designer Paper that I used is from the GO WILD 6x6 Paper Stack. I combined one of my Paper Pumpkin stamps with the "No Bones About It" stamp.
*If you come to my monthly CARD CLUB you get instructions for fun folds such as these. My 2015-16 classes are full, but I am hoping to open up a second night of stamping fun.
The club runs for as many months as there are members. Ideally we have 10 ladies and the club runs for 10 months with the minimum purchase requirement of $15.00. One of the months each of the members will have a chance to be the Hostess and earn the Stampin' Rewards. If you want to have 5 ladies in your group you have the option of running for 5 months or 10 months with each of you having 2 chances to be the Hostess and receive the Stampin' Rewards. Minimum purchase required on this size class will be $30. (and so on and so forth)

This next card using the NO BONES ABOUT IT Stamp Set looks like a dinosaur dig. Very clever idea by Martha Inchly on Pinterest.
I think this would be a great idea for a little boys birthday invitation and then you can theme the birthday party around dinosaurs and one game could be digging for plastic dinosaurs in the sand. FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

Tonight is my PUNCH ART CLASS and in honor of this fun class I am sharing a punch art project with you. Meet R2D2 from the Star Wars Movies.
I made this punch art once before - you can check out that post HERE
If you do not have the retired Key Tag Punch you can easily achieve this same shape with a 1" wide stipe of Glossy Paper and rounded with a circle punch. It measures 1/16" shy of 2"
Tyler gave me this STAR WARS ribbon which was tied around some sort of a treat bag that he had - probably 2 years ago at least. When I was doing some organizing in my craft room I ran across this piece of ribbon so I thought I better just make it up. This time I used the NEW Color Me Irresistible Specialty Paper. such a great pre-embossed paper. You get 6 color sheets and 6 white sheets all pre-embossed and I love this black one!

Sentimental Sunday
Sunday, July 19, 2015
This past week I was talking with the grandkids about what they might want to do when they grow up. Tyler was pretty sure he will attend college to learn to be a chef, and Gracie thought she might like to be a Ballet Teacher. Well, Gracie is not only a Ballerina she is also in her second year of Cheer. I think the 2 go together quite nicely. This summer she had a Cheer Camp and on the last day when I picked her up I asked if she wanted a picture with one of her instructors she was quick to say "yes" and it warmed my heart when 2 more instructors quickly came over because they wanted to be in a picture with Gracie too.
These are moments that warm a Gramma's heart!
Gracie is one of the tiny ones so she ends up being the "flyer". She has a tendency to be fearful and I am so proud of her for sticking with it and conquering her fear. Can't wait to see her cheer at the Rocket Football games this fall.

Beautiful Baskets

And the fabulous flowers were made using the BOUQUET BIGZ L DIE and the (retired) BUILD A BOUQUET Stamp Set. The cute 3x3 note cards and envelopes fit perfect in the BERRY BOX and made a great end of year gift for the school teachers. Notice the candle in the back? My hubby makes all natural soy candles, lotions, soaps and so much more. You can check out his web site HERE
Isn't this flower just gorgeous!!
The basket was made sturdier by adhering my Designer Paper to COASTER BOARD. This idea came from Patty Bennett's Blog.
Yes, I know, the Painted Blooms Designer Paper you see on the Berry Box is retired but Stampin' Up! has some brand new Designer Paper that is gorgeous called ENGLISH GARDEN that you are going to LOVE! and would be perfect if you want to copy this idea.

I absolutely LOVE Punch Art and this is a pretty simple one cased from Dani Tamzin
My grandkids would be able to tell you all the names of each Ninja Turtle!
The stamps I used are a 1 1/4" Circle Punch and the (retired) Small Oval. The masks are 1/4" wide and the greeting was generated on the computer. Colors used are Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, and Wisteria Wonder.
This months Project Class will be another Punch Art Class! NO, this is not one that will be out because it is just too simple you can figure it out by yourself, but the 3 I have chosen will be fun to make together. Want to join in on the fun? Here are the details:

Layered Letters Alphabet
Wednesday, July 8, 2015
These next 4 samples were made using the stamp set LAYERED LETTERS ALPHABET. I make sure to buy all the alphabet stamp sets because they always come in so handy for more that just an alphabet. Besides I love to use them for my scrapbooking. This first one says it all...
One tip for when you emboss the letters over the already inked background: heat set your stamped image and then rub your EMBOSSING BUDDY over the surface so that the embossing powder doesn't stick where you don't want it.
My little nephew loves rainbows so this card may easily find it's way to him.
Ever read the book "The Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle? this one is based off that...how cute!! The letter V is used for his antennae, the dot from the ! for his nose and the letter I for his legs.

You can buy the Stamp set as a bundle and save 15% when you bundle it with the very cool BOLD BUTTERFLY Framelits. This first one I actually cut out by hand because I wanted to keep the antennas on the butterfly.
This makes a great note card by stamping the butterfly and then adding the BUTTERFLY THINLITS cut out in black over top.

Sentimental Sunday

Today's Sentimental Sunday post is in honor of our grandson, Sawyer's, first birthday which he celebrated yesterday on the 4th of July! What a fun time with a happy boy! We are so very thankful for this little guy!
Even though Sawyer is not on total solid foods yet he loves to suck on the healthy stuff like carrots, cucumber and watermelon.
He was all about his presents
He got lots of books
Yeah! a card from Gramma!
Want to see it?
The cake! Mommy made a grain-free healthy cake for Sawyers first year!
YUM!!
YUM! YUM!
I'm not sure how much he actually ate but he sure did enjoy the process. First birthday cakes are a fun mess! Now they will be teaching him to be neat and tidy!
Sawyer loves to stand on his own

He was quite intrigued by his Uncle Joey, but didn't want to get too close!
After the big mess it is bath time, and "Good Night, Everybody - Thanks for coming to my birthday party!, It was FUN!
Thanks for stopping by!
