April Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

Friday, May 8, 2020
Paper Pumpkin Monthly subscription is so much fun!
The kit arrives at your door with everything that you need to create what is included in the kit.
However you have the choice to make alternative projects if you choose.
I love to see what all the fabulously talented demonstrators and Paper Pumpkin subscribers come up with.
These are the ones that I made from the April Kit
I love the family words on this first card. These first 2 cards were inspired by my friend, Julie Gilson.

I loved this designer paper - there was a small strip on one of the card bases, plus it was the flap of one of the envelopes (4 of each) so I cut it all apart and was able to make 9 of these. I love the family theme in the stamps and sent them out to each of our kids.
During our stay-at-home mandate, I stayed at home with Gracie - at her house!!
Dale was helping Josh and Julie with yard work so Gracie and I played with our Paper Pumpkin Kits. I ordered a kit to be sent to her house - thinking that we would work on them over FaceTime, it worked out that we could do it together.  YEAH! a huge bright spot in my week!
She did a great job and made a card for her mom for Mother's Day, plus a bunch of cards to send to her friends who she misses terribly.
I made this card to send to my 3 sisters for Mother's Day. The cute little MeerKats add such a joyful addition.
These next two were inspired by - Wendy Huber Young & Cindy-Lynn Taylor. You can find all kinds of ideas on the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club Facebook group.
The one on the left was super simple, and the one on the right took FOREVER - it's a one of a kind for sure.
Here we go again - I cannot remember who I cased for this next card, but I absolutely love it.
I made this one after I got home again and had a few pieces left
This next one was made using the negative portion when you punch out all the little yellow butterflies and birds. I cut the butterfly portion off and slipped some pretty designer paper behind it, then chose some retired ribbon that coordinated. The Happy Birthday greeting is from Botanical Bliss Stamp Set and it is on the retiring list.
This last one is a favorite! I saved enough of the Designer Paper to have 2 strips to make 3 of these cards. The kit came with 6 of the dark green leaves. The rest I cut from Mint Macron card stock and crumb cake card stock using frosted frames dies. The embossing folder is called Coastal Weave, and the stamp is from So Sentimental. The dies from Stitched So Sweetly (another favorite)
