Christi's Creative Crew: Dr Doolittle

This past weekend our granddaughter, Gracie, was in the Allendale Children's Theatre Play, THE ENCHANTED BOOKSTORE.

The premise of the play is that different characters in the books In this enchanted bookstore will come to life. Gracie was Dr. Doolittle so I thought that this cute doggie card would be perfect to feature for today's blog post.

Gracie had never seen the Dr. Doolittle movie so earlier this year we watched it together so it's really cool that she got this part.

I love the scrappy little dog in the movie called Lucky

This card was inspired by Lorri Heiling, but what I changed up was that she used the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Cards & Envelopes and I made it a standard size.

The designer paper for the doggies sweater is PEACEFUL PRINTS, the free paper we could earn during Sale a bration, and then stripes of Cajun Craze were added using the Stampin' Blends.

Lorri used the Giving Gifts Dies, but since I did not have those, I made due with the small leaf punches that I had on hand, and to be perfectly honest, punching out all those leaves (because you know I didn't just make one of these cards!) is much faster than cutting them out with a die.

The Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories & More Cards & Envelopes come with the cinnamon cider piece and the card base all in one, but I used the Scallop Contours Dies and made my own.
