I have totally fallen in love with this sweet bird. I was inspired by one I saw like this one the demonstrator planning facebook page. I didn't have the dimensions so had to figure out what worked best for me.

At the May card class we have switched things up a bit. In order to keep the cost of the class low, we went from 8 cards to 6 cards and kept the cost the same.
I know that from time to time, Stampin' Up! needs to reevaluate the cost of products and it is inevitable that the increase in cost needs to trickle down to us. It seems like EVERYTHING is increasing in cost. I mean, have you seen the price of groceries and gas lately??
I certainly do not blame them for the increase, but it sure made me need to evaluate the cost of products to make and prepare the cards for classes.

Recently I had two special orders - When I first get a special order I kind of go into panic mode because I am never sure if I can accomplish what they want, but then I start to process it and get ideas with the help of Pinterest, and it comes together.
First special order was for someone who needed a quilt themed card for someone who made a quilt for her mom who has cancer.
The second special order card was a request from our neighbor (former - they moved last summer) and their son, Liam is turning 10 years old and she needed birthday party invitations. They wanted to go with the "Hang 10" theme and this one I knew right away that I could use the WAVES OF THE OCEAN stamp set. Finding a surfer was a bit more challenging. I did a search for "surfer silhouette clip art" and found this image that I could print and cut out. (thanks to my Scan 'n Cut Machine, I only had to fussy cut the center of the legs). I also needed to print out the word "Hang" and that was a bit more challenging to fussy cut out. y number 10 was cut from the PLAYFUL ALPHABET DIES. Which I absolutely love and am so sad that they retired.
