Do you remember on my last blog post that I said that I had a bunch of those trees to cut out from the HAPPY FOREST FRIENDS Designer Paper?
I also had several other random pieces laying on my workstation. Things that were left over from another class or project that I didn't have the heart to discard.I had 2 of these scalloped rectangles sitting there forever and wanted to put them to good use
I added the second largest tree (there are 4 different sizes), and then started to layer - This first card would be Lucy or Tori with their similar coloring and I can envision them trying to play with any sort of creature that would wander into our yard. This card has a Pear Pizzazz base 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4", Vellum Cardstock (item #101856) cut at 5-1/4" x 4", Basic White cut at 4-7/8" x 3-1/2" and another cut at 4-3/4" x 3-3/8". The Scalloped Stitched Rectangle comes from SCALLOPED CONTOURS DIE SET (item #155560).
The designer paper is retired from the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper Pack that was FREE during a previous Sale a bration.
The clouds (from the WAVES Die Set item #158840) and the grasses (from GARDEN Dies - Home & Garden Stamp Set *retired) plus the fence (from HORIZON DIES *retired) were also just laying there on my work station.
The puppy and turtle from BELLA & FRIENDS (*retired) well, I just always keep a stash of those on hand because I make a lot of puppy cards for when we have litters. And every card is more fun with a puppy!!
My second card was fashioned after Katy. Katy loves to chase the squirrels up our tree in the back yard. All she needs to hear is the word "squirrel" and she makes a bee-line out to find one. She is so funny.Where did I get that itty bitty squirrel? I stamped a squirrel from NUTS ABOUT SQUIRRELS (item #156475) and then sized it at 30% on the printer (I used cajun craze ink full strength for the outline and stamped off once to fill it in.) of course, now I have something else sitting on my workstation to cut out and use *sigh! Now you can see what I mean...The "Hello Friend" greeting is from the July 2019 Paper Pumpkin Set.
