Today is our day to be with our kids and our grandkids for our Christmas celebration. We have three adult children and 7 grandchildren ranging from 22 years to 3 years and then another one due June 2025. It either keeps us young or makes us feel old and tired out!! LOL!! The two oldest grands will not make it to the family celebration with work schedules, etc., but I will take what I can get.
I love being with them so much!
We rent the church's ministry center which is a gymnasium so the little ones can bring bikes or scooters to play on.
A yummy lunch is planned where everyone supplies their favorites.
There will be games and hopefully some music as we are gifting Sawyer (10) a drum! I'm sure his parents are THRILLED!! Will have to share photos later.
On the home front - it's been quite a week+ as we had to have my 98 year old father taken to ER with pneumonia. After a two night stay (with a grumpy old man) he is home and functioning perfectly well on his own, preparing his meals and watching his sports on TV.
Once we got my dad home a situated, my brother in law (77 years old) had to go to ER - same hospital, and a couple doors down from where Dad was. Just another repeat I guess. He, too, was running a high fever and he is terribly weak. He recently had a heart Cath, but they found it to be perfectly fine, so we are not sure what is causing all his weakness. Prayers appreciated for both of these men in my life.
