Sweet Old Friends

The second set of cards that we made at the Glitter Retreat with Dawn Griffiths was made using the SILLY OLD BEAR 12x12 DSP. We were each given 1/2 pack of the DSP and then we cut out the pieces that we needed for each project. Dawn had all the bases, etc cut and scored for us and gave us a full set of printed instructions for each project.

I have never seen this style before

The 4-1/4" x 11" Early Espresso base was scored at 2-3/4", 5-1/2" 8-1/4"

The pop-out arm is 3/4" x 7-1/2" scored at 1", 3" & 4-1/2"

This second card is an easel card. I think that I placed the oval piece on the wrong triangle, but it still works, just doesn't look as good

Card #3 is called a Flip Flap Card - you may have seen me use this style several times in the past.

Card #4 was a bit more challenging, but completely doable when you follow the instructions. It's just a super fun pop up called a Floating Pop-Up Arch Card.

Card #5 I changed up and brought it home w/o a sentiment so that I could make it a cute baby girl card. I used the sentiment from the brand new EVERY PHASE stamp set.

If you ever have a chance to go to a stamping retreat, I would highly recommend it. They are so much fun.

IN FACT: My friend and fellow stamper, Inez, and I are holding our annual Mid-Winter Retreat on Saturday, January 16, 2027.

You can sign up for this retreat HERE.

Cost is only $60 - you will make 9 cards and 1-3D project. There will be a soup and salad bar with my hubbies homemade bread, and we play a game of BINGO with prizes.
