Guest Stampers Carla & Debbie

My guest stampers for today are Carla and Debbie

Carla made this cute piggy card for a friend of her granddaughter. the piggy on the scooter has one of those spring thingys so it gives the piggy some movement!  I love it!!

Her next cards she made she used the BISTRO BURGER bundle.

Debbies cards feature the MEDITERANEAN BLOOMS Designer Paper.

Debbie likes to theme her cards out with a small gift, but her gifts are NOT small - her little scrubby holder has two scrubbies in it - one is a lemon and one is an orange and she tucked some fruit flavored TIC TAC candies in there too. Makes me wish that I had learned how to crochet. She makes such clever things.

Guest Stampers Inez & Pam

Last week was our July team meeting. It was one of the highest attended meetings - we really packed them  in!!

Now it's time to share the cards that they made and shared with us

Inez had a fun twist on the ICE CREAM SWIRLS stamp set - not that she meant to, but...

On the pink ice cream card she turned the ice cream on it's side - she had a good laugh about it and said that the ladies in her class also turned theirs on the side just like her sample

Inez also shared this next card using IN THE GROVE DIES and THOUGHTFUL JOURNEY DSP

This next card is what Pam shared

What a great fun fold card

Let's Talk Kits

Stampin' Up! comes out with two new kits every month.

Kits are PERFECT for the person/stamper who wants to create pretty cards, but also doesn't want to invest in a bunch of stamp sets and inks.

Kits are PERFECT for on-the-go stamping. Grab a kit and take it along with you when you are traveling.  Going to visit grandkids out of town? Grab and kit and you have some built in quality time together.

One of my favorite kits has been BEST REMEDY - and it is still available!! Just check out my online store.

The little skunk is my favorite!

I was playing with a layout using POCKET THOUGHTS so I pulled out some retired 6x6 designer paper just for a template and the little skunk fit perfect into the color theme and I ended up loving it so much that the ladies will be making this card at a future Tuesday class.

Thoughtful Journey

Today's card features the THOUGHTFUL JOURNEY 6x6 designer series paper pack.

This paper is seriously GORGEOUS!!

When you have such pretty scenery paper it makes your card making super simple

I was inspired by Su Mohr but changed it up to make it my own

Su made hers a square card and I chose to make it a standard A2 card (4-1/4" x 5-1/2")

Su used the Frosted Forest Die, but since I do not own that, I chose to use my retired INSPIRED CANOPY Die. The "thinking of you" comes from FEATHERED FLIGHT.

The base is Copper Clay and the words were stamped with Early Espresso. The trees were cut from the COUNTRY WOODS 12x12 Designer Series Paper Pack.

Special Order

Every once in a while I get a request for a special card.

This time someone requested an engagement card

I have been wanting to make this card for a long time, but I saved it for when it was needed. I used the MINI ALPHABET DIES and a white on white theme, which I think is so elegant.

The ring was cut out with gold foil using a retired die set called LITTLE TREAT BOX. I added some vellum to create the look of a diamond.

She loved the outcome and so did I.

I was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest - I bet it has been several years ago. The name on the photo said Anthony Assadourian, but I have no way to link you to his original.
