More Watercolor Cards

Today I will feature the rest of the watercolor cards that were shared at our team meeting last week.

The first two cards were shared by Vicki. She used Watercolor paper and watercolor pencils on both of her cards

Janell used the clear block technique for the square, the hippo's tub and the sentiment strip. I guess we can say she used watercolor to add splatters to the Basic White card base too.

I used the Stylish Sketches free SAB stamp set for my two watercolor cards. I also used the Oceanfront stamp set. Colors: Pacific Point, Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight.

I also used the watercolor pencils to color in my ducks.

Card #2 using the fox from Stylish Sketches, I used a sketch challenge to come up with this layout. I used Shimmery White paper to stamp my fox and color it in (and then fussy cut it out).

I liked how much this turned out that the stampers will be making this card at a Tuesday class.

This was super simple using my Cajun Craze Watercolor Pencil and my Watercolor Painters

Watercolor Cards Part 2

Here are some more cards that the gals on my team made for the watercolor challenge

Card #1 is from Chris - she watercolored all of the sand, water and sky for this cute beachy card.

Pam made three samples of watercoloring... this first one is super easy, super cute! Using Stampin' Up!'s wide watercolor painter it's easy to make to colorful stripes. Stamp set is called Color & Contour and the Contour Dies

her next card she used the clear block technique and three shades of blue

On this last card from Pam she watercolored the flowers.

Dawn chose the Places in the Heart stamp set. She used watercolor pencils to color in her image.

Rochelle's card has an abstract Monet feel to it.

She wasn't sure what to do with this extra piece but I'm glad she brought it to share because it is beautiful!

Watercolor Month Guest Stampers

Stampin' Up! has told us that July is National Watercolor Month so I encouraged my team to make a watercolor project to share at our team meeting. I was super pleased with how many participated in the challenge.

Here are some of the watercolor challenge cards that my team made...

Joyce made this first card using WILD & SWEET stamp set

Inez made 2 watercolor cards using the clear block technique

Karen made this next card using a watercolor wash technique

Marlane's card features a long retired Honeybee Home stamp set (it was definitely a favorite stamp set of mine)

Baby Shower Thank You's

Another baby shower at church - I cannot believe how many first time babies are being born within our church body in the past year.  I hear there are more coming up too, but not announced yet. As is my habit, I make 12 thank you notes for the new mom to use for all the lovely gifts that they are receiving. I'm starting to think that if I didn't gift them the note cards they would feel left out.

The next baby shower is for a young couple who are expecting a baby girl.

I loved the ALL FOR BABY stamp set and dies so I migrated to that retired set for these cute cards.

I also make a card to go along with the gift as well as a card to send them when the baby arrives.

I used up some retired in color card stock in Magenta Madness and Just Jade. Abstract Beauty is the Designer Paper (retired) that I used and my go-to stamp set for these cards - CUDDLES & KISSES
