Last weekend I was hired to make a wedding cake. With all the different changes I’ve seen at weddings lately not everyone is choosing to go with a cake, but Grandma (to the groom) wanted to “gift” them with a personal one, feeling it wouldn’t be right to have a wedding without a cake. They got my name from a friend at our church who saw my photo album at our silent auction recently. With one weeks notice and only getting their request over the phone…
- All white with a…
- Hint of purple and a…
- Sprig of silver.
This is what I came up with… The ‘sprig’ of silver is the butterfly bouquet pick and the ‘hint’ of purple is very much a ‘hint’ as I brushed shimmer dust on the bow, (it showed up much better in person) but you can see I then painted some purple on the bows on the bottom layer. I was so thankful that the mother of the groom loved it when she picked it up. WHEW!!
So For Now…
