My Paper Pumpkin Class

Friday, August 1, 2014
One thing I learned while at the Stampin' Up! Convention was the suggestion to have a My Paper Pumpkin Class for the ladies who subscribe under me.  What a great idea!  I made up my own Paper Pumpkin Kit using all the ingredients that they give you and made a variety of cards that are NOT like what is suggested in the flyer so that the ladies can see how versatile the Paper Pumpkin Kit really is.  I even made up some scrap book pages. Two ladies came to enjoy the evening with me.  Oh, did I say - this is a FREE CLASS!! I am just so thankful that they subscribe to My Paper Pumpkin.  It was a fun night and I hope it grows. (You can see my hubby in the back working on his own projects - he is quite the master at the Big Shot and the My Digital Studio by now)
My sweet hubby made this magnetic board for me so I could display the cards and scrapbook pages
There are a lot of ideas on here because at Convention we were able to purchase a Paper Pumpkin Kit plus 2 refills...I took them up on the deal!
This is my first scrapbook page for our newest grandson, Sawyer Jackson.  These pictures were taken on his very first day - July 4, 2014.
I used the WORK OF ART stamp set for the "swoosh" and the alphabet "I made a (WISH) and you came true" from the photopolymer stamp set called CALLING ALL HEROES, and the "wish" is from the Paper Pumpkin Kit, along with the stars and hearts
and the larger alphabet I used for his name is called EPIC ALPHABET. The fact that these alphabet stamps are photopolymer help me line it up.  Can you see how I added the WORK OF ART circle stamp to the background?  It really added a layer of dimension to the page
These are a couple cards that the ladies made
I like how Brenda stacked her stars off-set with a dimensional

This is the second scrapbook page I made but I also used elements of previous My Paper Pumpkin kits.  I saw this layout at Convention but then I added a few extras to suit my taste.
The pinwheel and straw stem is from the June kit, I just smooshed them flat.  Now I just need to add some pictures.
The gold stars are from a kit that used the gold for envelope liners, but I cut off 2 inches from the bottom to save for such a time as this.
