A huge thank you to everyone who placed an on line order during the month of January.
I sure do feel overwhelmingly blessed by friends and family who have showered us with meals and kindnesses while I recover.  I am one week down and five weeks to go with 100% no weight bearing.

Look at this darling tissue box holder that Inez made for me using the BY THE SHORE DESIGNER PAPER and the SEASIDE SHORE Samp Set.  The Calypso Coral Card Stock Matches perfectly to our color scheme of our living area.  What a great get well gift.
I sure do appreciate the nice visit that we had.  Inez is in my 2nd level downline and is an amazing addition to our team.

Top 10

Monday, January 30, 2017
Top 10 picks from last week that I found either on the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club FB page or on blogs that I frequent.  Hope these will give you inspiration for your own card making this week. Sorry that I do not have blog links for all of these.
This one was found on the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club Facebook page by Fran Ward. I loved how she stamped the hearts like the Brach's Valentine Conversation Hearts.

I have yet to purchase this WINDOW BOX THINLITS DIES, but I loved this wood themed one by Pauline Barnfather

Chat Wszelaki always inspires me.  I especially liked this one using the WEATHER TOGETHER stamp set and dies because she used the In-Color Envelope Paper.  She is using last years patterns but you can check out this years patterns HERE.  Just saying that just because it is called ENVELOPE PAPER, doesn't mean it can only be used for making or lining envelopes.  It is just a bit thinner paper. Check them all out HERE
Another bundle I have not purchased yet but I love this especially because Diane Dimich made the bag and card to coordinate.  The LIFT ME UP BUNDLE saves you 10% if you buy as a bundle and all the Designer Paper she used is a FREE item from Sale a bration.  I especially love the Mint Macron cloud print, but the Watermelon print is also from that Designer Paper.  The 3/8" Sheer Mint Macron Linen Ribbon is so amazing.  It is one of my favorite In-Color colors!!
I fell in love with the DRAGONFLY DREAMS BUNDLE right away - it was one of my first purchases.  Carolina Evans uses two different Designer Papers to showcase the dragonflies in flight...FALLING IN LOVE (left) and SUCCULENT GARDEN (right).  Aren't these cards beautiful??!!
Another beautiful card  by Diane Dimich.  I love how she made a double row of hearts on the border of her card using the SEALED WITH LOVE BUNDLE and the SENDING LOVE Designer Paper Pack (6x6).
This one is by BJ Peters.  I just love the simplicity of this one, and yet it is so elegant.
I cased this one from Suzanne Netz. I used the new WATERCOLOR PENCILS which are my absolute favorite!!  In fact I actually WON a FREE set of WATERCOLOR PENCILS from my up-up-line, Jill Olsen, in a Facebook contest!!  so cool, right!!
These cards are from Patty Bennett one of our Million Dollar in sales gals from Stampin' Up!  You know if she has that many sales she must be top notch. I have purchased the STYLISH STEMS DIES, but did not get a chance to use them before camping out here on the couch (LOL), but I can't wait to get to them.
Last but not least - some darling little purses by Sue a YOUTUBE video.
This one is made using a 12x12 piece of Designer Paper, but she also has video for a small one using 6x6 Designer Paper.  Check it out HERE
I hope these samples inspire you to get into your craft room and start creating!!

Treats for Guests

Thursday, January 26, 2017
Being laid up is not the most fun, but what IS fun is that I can hand out special treats to anyone who comes to visit me.  These cute little butterfly treats were made using the CURVY KEEPSAKE BOX DIE, and it holds some yummy, Creamy Almond Ghiradelli Chocolates.
This Valentine themed treat was made using the January 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I chose to step it up by die cutting a heart shaped window and adding a window sheet in the front so that you can see the Valentine Conversation Hearts.  I sealed the treat bag with a staple and then hid that staple with some GOLD SEQUINS and the stamped heart.
Yesterday was Dale's first day back to work since my surgery, but I was fortunate enough that Gracie needed to stay home from school so she was my helper in the morning.  In the afternoon I had a lovely visit with my childhood friend, Phyllis.  Look at this gorgeous, decorative leaf she made.  It measures 17" by nearly 9" wide.  I forgot what type of leaf she started with, but it sure is GORGEOUS!!
My late afternoon doctor appointment went very well.  I got my dressing changed and boy oh boy this is what we saw...
YIKES! that's going to leave a scar! BUT...I am on the road to recovery.  The Plantar Fascia Ligament was removed and so was the bone spur on my heel.  Does it hurt?  OH YEAH! BIG TIME, but I will embrace some down-time and just recover.

The Paper Pumpkin 3 month subscription is on sale for only $55.00 which means 3 full months of Paper Pumpkin AND you qualify for a FREE item from the Sale a bration brochure.  Just click HERE to shop for your own Paper Pumpkin subscription.

Another Special Order:
So thankful for the special orders that come my way, and this is also why I keep my trusty favorite stamps on hand like this one called NOBLE DEER. Special order request was for a card for a deer hunter and this one was perfect (inspired by Pinterest)
Second special order card was for a golfer.  She remembered me making a golf cart years ago and asked me to duplicate it.  The golfer turns 13 therefore the 13th hole flag.

Another Great Year

Tuesday, January 24, 2017
Please use this HOSTESS CODE when shopping with me HERE

A while back I shared a card showing how to make your own background paper.  You can see that original post HERE.
For this card that I cased by Tina Rappe I didn't have the Washi Tape that she used on her card for the little flags, so I decided to create my own designer paper.
I stamped splatters and stripes from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set using Gold Encore Ink (Versa Mark would work too) onto Very Vanilla Card Stock and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder.  Then all I needed to do was punch out the flag/banner that I needed.  So sorry that items on this card are retired, but if you are at all like me you have tons of retired product laying around and this is my attempt to give you ideas how to use them up.

STAMPS: Gorgeous Grunge, Another Great Year
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Gold Foil, Fancy Foil Designer Paper
Fun Stuff: Ovals Framelits, Small Banner Punch, Gold Embossing Powder, Gold/Vanilla Bakers Twine, Dimensionals.
The ladies had a chance to make this card last week at my Come Stamp With Me Tuesday Class. These classes are on hold for a few weeks while I recover from surgery.  I hope you can join us again when they start back up!!
Please use this HOSTESS CODE when shopping with me HERE
If you want an update on my surgery - it went very well.  I appreciate all the prayers you all said for me. The doctor did a Plantar Fascia Release and Bone Spur Removal.  He actually removed the Ligament of the Fascia completely.  He said it was so thick that it never would have healed with any traditional treatments (that I have already exhausted).  The nerve block is still working as I am writing this so no pain yet.  No weight bearing for 4-6 weeks but I am still working on cards and projects that I have pre-planned.
Happy Stamping!!

Sentimental Sunday

Sunday, January 22, 2017
One of the FREE items you can get from the Sale-a-bration brochure is this cool Designer Paper caller INSIDE THE LINES.  Just like all the adult coloring books you see in the stores that are so popular.  My mom has been using these adult coloring books which really helps with her ART THERAPY as she is dealing with dementia.
I made up some rather plain cards using the INSIDE THE LINES Designer Paper so that she can color her own greeting cards - Yes! she still loves to send cards out (guess this is where I got my love of sending cards)
My dad is the one that has the artistic flair in our family and has loved to paint for years.
When I brought these over I showed him some shading techniques using the new markers he bought for my mom and I think he might be hooked too!!
This picture just makes me smile more than you can know.
Have a Blessed Day!

The SENDING LOVE SUITE is one of my favorites, but I also love it that you can team up some new product with some current product (or even retired product).

This card features the SENDING LOVE GLASSINE SHEETS, SENDING LOVE DESIGNER PAPER and the SEALED WITH LOVE FRAMELITS.  Do you see the MINI PAPER CLIP on top? They come in a package of gold, silver and white.
I absolutely LOVE the Designer Paper.
I teamed it all up with the SUNSHINE WISHES THINLITS.
I used the SENDING LOVE Designer Paper on some quick and easy treats for the gals on my team who came to the January Team Meeting.

Another Tasty Truck Card

Wednesday, January 18, 2017
Couldn't resist making a movement card using the TASTY TRUCK stamp set.  Too Fun!!

What flavor ice cream would you choose? Superman? Orange Sherbet? or Bubblegum?
This card features TWO of the FREE products that you can get from the Sale-a-bration brohure. Each with a $50 purchase.
TASTY TRUCK and the very cool CARRIED AWAY Designer Paper.
The road was made with the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set.  A must-have for any stamper!
The Tasty Truck was stamped in Basic Black onto Shimmery White Card Stock.  Shimmery White holds up well when watercoloring plus you get a nice little shimmer look.
For the "street" I stamped the Gorgeous Grunge image using Versa Mark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  Next time I think I will use Whisper White Craft Ink so I can see better where I've stamped because you have to stamp it twice to get the full "road".
Check out these images from the Sale-a-bration brochure for more inspiration...

You Turn Me On

Friday, January 13, 2017
This card could easily be used as a Valentine Card for your Sweetheart.
This was a fun one to make.  I hand wrote the words on the bottom of a 4-1/4 x 11 Whisper White card base and then I dry embossed it using the stripe embossing folder.  I used a double slot punch (retired) on Whisper White and then punched around it with a 1-3/8" circle punch, then trimmed off the top and bottom a bit.  The new Urban Underground Embellishments work perfectly for the center screw.
You can find these embellishments in the Occasions Catalog. Need your very own copy?  Contact me and I will be happy to see that you  get one.  Remember for every $50 you spend during Sale a bration (January 4th - March 31st) you get to choose one item FREE from the Sale a bration brochure
