A while back I shared a card showing how to make your own background paper.  You can see that original post HERE.
For this card that I cased by Tina Rappe I didn't have the Washi Tape that she used on her card for the little flags, so I decided to create my own designer paper.
I stamped splatters and stripes from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set using Gold Encore Ink (Versa Mark would work too) onto Very Vanilla Card Stock and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder.  Then all I needed to do was punch out the flag/banner that I needed.  So sorry that items on this card are retired, but if you are at all like me you have tons of retired product laying around and this is my attempt to give you ideas how to use them up.

STAMPS: Gorgeous Grunge, Another Great Year
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Gold Foil, Fancy Foil Designer Paper
Fun Stuff: Ovals Framelits, Small Banner Punch, Gold Embossing Powder, Gold/Vanilla Bakers Twine, Dimensionals.
The ladies had a chance to make this card last week at my Come Stamp With Me Tuesday Class. These classes are on hold for a few weeks while I recover from surgery.  I hope you can join us again when they start back up!!

If you want an update on my surgery - it went very well.  I appreciate all the prayers you all said for me. The doctor did a Plantar Fascia Release and Bone Spur Removal.  He actually removed the Ligament of the Fascia completely.  He said it was so thick that it never would have healed with any traditional treatments (that I have already exhausted).  The nerve block is still working as I am writing this so no pain yet.  No weight bearing for 4-6 weeks but I am still working on cards and projects that I have pre-planned.
Happy Stamping!!
Thanks for stopping by!
