This card was inspired by Karen Hallan

I stamped the dahlia 3 times using Polished Pink ink onto Basic White card stock and then fussy cut the flowers out in three layers, popping each layer up on dimensionals.

The leaves are stamped in Granny Apple Green and Garden Green and are also fussy cut.

there is a diagonal strip of vellum under the flower and leaves which has been embossed with the Checks & Dots embossing folder. (this is a 2 pack of narrower embossing folders - one with checks and one with dots)

What I changed up: I decided to make my card a sympathy card using the INSPIRING THOUGHTS Stamp Set.

Today would have been my mama's 93rd birthday, but she lives with Jesus now (we said good-bye almost 3 years ago)

TIP: This is a 2-step stamp for the flowers and for the leaves. First I stamped the outline of the flower with Polished Pink and then when I stamped the inside portion of the flower I found it coming out too dark, but by stamping it off it was coming out too light so I liked it up with Polished Pink, then using a sponge dauber I dabbed all over it before stamping it onto the Basic White Card Stock.
